2Moons Guides *HOT* Other Guides (4)

Newbie Questions - Explained

Basic newbie questions: - A few newbie questions that I see being asked constantly are thus:
“Where is “X” Mob - If you hit the “M” key, it will expand your map. Simply hover the cursor over each little colored dot, and it will give you the name of the npc.
Where is “X” Boss - Each of these bosses are located on the four corners of each of the starting city maps. If you open your map up, you will see 4 sorta circle parts on each of the corners. This is where the bosses are. However, you can simply hit “Q” to open your quest window, and it will usually just tell you which corner they are in.
Where is “???” - basically, any time you are about to ask where a location is .. look at your map. If it isn’t on that map, goto a different zone. You can travel between zone’s by using the teleporter in each of the starting cities. There are 2 in each town. Denebe only gets 1 cause it’s small.
Newbie Dungeon - Good place to gather lots of potions. You can do each part multiple times, as long as you don’t finish the third and final area. Simply exit and go back in and re-select a part you have completed. Good tip to save money on pots at early levels for those that need them.
Partying - Yes, If you party, you will level up faster. You will get less xp per kill than if you killed it solo, but if you are killing multiple mobs at the same time, you will actually gain more xp over time.
Quests - “HELP! X-Quest is bugged!” - I have done every quest upto 25 and I can assure you, none are bugged. The person that gives you the quest (or each subsequent person you speak to) will retain their little part, you simply need to move onto the next person after you finish exhausting all of that targets topics of conversation pertaining to that quest. 99% of all the quests in this game have multiple parts, you need to learn to read each part carefully so you know where to go for the next part. If you get lost, simply look at your quest guide by hitting “Q” and it will help you out. Item Gathering - Yes, there is a way to pick up items without clicking on each of them. Hit the spacebar.
Actions - Yes, there are actions such as “Dance, Clap, Wave” etc, look at your chat window, bottom right corner.
Chat Text - Hard to read party text? .. Darken your window, look at your chat window, bottom left corner, click on SETTING, change the opacity.
Explanation of Damage Modifiers: - First off, let me explain which classes, do which damage: > Knight / Bagi = Melee Damage (This is shown on items as simply “Damage”) > Incar Magicians = Fire / Ice / Lightning Damage (This will be shown on items as one of the names) > Summoner = Melee / Poison Damage (This will be shown as either “Damage” or “Poison Damage”) > Segita Hunter = Melee Damage (This is shown on items as simply “Damage”) > Segnale = Melee Damage / Curse Damage (This is shown on items as either “Damage” or “Curse”)
Popular Misconceptions concerning Damage: > Segnale do NOT do magic damage! Yes, they raise spirit, but this is ONLY for mana. They do melee and curse damage. ONLY Incars do “Magic” Damage. > Damage modifiers on an item DO NOT Stack. What I mean by this is, is simply: Example Item: Nooby Wiffle Bat of Smiting Weapon Type: One Handed Class: Newbie Req Level: 1 Req Str: 5 Req Dex: 5 Req Spr: 5 Physical Damage: 1-1 Magical Damage: 1-1 Attack Speed: 1 +10 Fire Damage +10 Ice Damage +10 Lightning Damage +10 Poison Damage +10 Curse Damage +10 Damage Ok, so looking at our example weapon, judging by the bonuses … this weapon would benefit Incars the most .. Since they can do Fire / Ice / Lightning Damage. However… These damage mod’s do not stack. You will only get a bonus when you are doing that particular damage type, example: Newbie Bob casts a fireball while wielding his wiffle bat, he will gain +10 bonus fire damage from his weapon Newbie George decides to smash a spider in the head with his bat, he will gain +10 physical damage bonus from his weapon Newbie Otto casts a curse spell on Bob in a duel, he will gain +10 bonus curse damage to his spell from his weapon. Ok, so I hope that clears up how damage modifiers work on items, as well as what damage modifiers your class needs on their equipment (weapons/armor). Before I leave this section — One final note: Glowing Weapons - You get a glowing weapon by filling all SOCKETS (yes the weapon must have sockets) with a weapon gem. Once all sockets are filled, you get a glowing weapon.
Character Builds: Ok, this has got to be the most asked question out of all the questions asked in game by new players. So here goes, an answer for all classes: There is no special build for any class! — SUPRISE! However, I am not so cruel that I will leave you totally hanging so let me explain, when you select your class, you will need to decide on your weapon. Once you have decided which weapon you wish to use, the rest will fall into place. Example: Newbie Bertha decides to make a Segnale. This class only uses a single weapon. It’s main stats it needs are: Dex & Spr Thus, Segnale need Dex + Spr (and some hp of course — all classes need hp’s — except maybe bagi) Segnale, never need to raise str. Str = Dagger, Sword, Axe, Mace, Wand, Staff Dex = Whip, Bow, X-Bow Heal = Hp Spr = Mana (+ Magic Dmg only for incar) This is a very simplified explanation of the stats, they do other things such as: Str = Melee Damage for listed Weapons Dex = Crit / Dodge Heal = Armor / Shield However, when it comes to making a build, all you really need to know is your weapon stats. That is how you spend your pts. Of course you can adjust them a little as needed (like adding hp), but for the most part. That’s all you need to do.

There, between this guide and my fishing guide. I have squashed most of the newbie questions that are most popular. Hopefully people will read the guide and it will help them to understand what is going on a little better.
