Wintergrasp makes up a large portion of the region between Sholazar Basin, the BoreanTundra, the Dragonblight, and the Icecrown Glacier. Wintergrasp is the first openworldPvP region for World of Warcraft. The main focus of the battle will be siegeweapon warfare and promises exciting action between the Alliance and the Horde.The Alliance and the Horde fight for the control of a valuable mining resource. One factionwill have to defend the keep while the other assaults it. Towers and siege workshops can be controlled and used for victory.If the attacking faction successfully captures the keep, they will defend it during the next scheduled siege. Siege weapons are needed to destroy the walls and capture the keep. There will be daily quests and rewards in the area and can truly be a new experience for PvP and PvE players alike. Wrath of the Lich King Gets Release Date
The release date for the second expansion of the world's most successful MMORPG, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, has just been announced. The game releases on November 14 in Australia, and November 13 for Europe and North America. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King allows players to travel to Northrend where they're able to meet King Arthas Menethil, who fans will recognise from Warcraft III and its expansion, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Players are able to battle the Lich King's undead army, while leveling up to the new cap of level 80, and can gain fresh abilities when exploring original areas and dungeons. The expansion also contains an innovative achievement system, new PvP content including siege weapons and destructible buildings, and introduces the first Hero class: the Death Knight.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King is available in both a standard and special collectors' edition, of which contains a 208 page art-book for the expansion, an exclusive in-game pet, a behind-the-scenes DVD featuring developer interviews, the official soundtrack CD, a mouse pad with a map of Northrend on it, and two World of Warcraft Trading Card Games including March of the Legion starter decks, plus two exclusive cards only available for the collectors' edition.

Wrath of the Lich King requires both the original World of Warcraft game and its first expansion, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, which can be purchased together in the World of Warcraft Battle Chest. The game currently has more than 10.9 million subscribers, with the first expansion selling about 3.5 million copies in its first month. If you've never played World of Warcraft before, now seems like a good time to start.
