SWTOR Guide for Beginner (Part 2)

How about SWTOR quests or missions?

I Class Missions

As other mmos games, the quests in SWTOR are typical “kill this get that” assignment. Every quest has its own story that lead you start with conversations and end with the completion of the quest. Certainly you will get a new quest when the earlier one finished. As the main story line, class missions will lead you travel in SWTOR. These are unique for each class and divided into three chapters. By completing class quests and progressing through the story you will recruit companions, gain access to your starship, Advanced Class and the next planet so skipping them is not an option.

II Zone and Companion Missions

You can complete most of the zone quests by yourself, but some quests require 2,3 or 4 players that called Heroic missions. There is large number of side quests available and they are optional. Maybe you think you can skip them because they are optional, but they are very useful. Some of them will automatically provide bonus quests, additional objectives to gain extra rewards. Most of the zone quests can be completed by a single player but there are a few that require 2,3 or 4 players called Heroic missions.

When you and your companions reached certain levels of affection, it’s possible to get some missions related your conversations with your companions. These missions are also optional but completing them will yield a good amount of experience and bonus affection points with your companion most of the times.

III Space Combat missions

When you got your class ship, you can receive Space Combat missions which are bonus quests. There are daily space missions; you can put it into your list by reaching the small quest indicator near your galaxy map. The rewards for these daily missions consist of experience, credits and space commendations (which you can use to buy starship upgrades, equipment and other items).

The missions can be classified into three types: the first one is the escort mission where you have to accompany a target and make sure it survives until the end of the mission; the second one will require you to destroy certain elements of a space station (missiles will be very useful in this case); last but not least, the third type of mission will consist of various targets to destroy (such as mines, bombers and enemy ships) but your main goal will be surviving since you’ll be under heavy fire throughout the entire mission.

During all Space Combat missions you will have the chance to unlock bonus objectives. These are optional and you’ll still be able to complete the mission without them. On the other hand, dying or not finishing your main objectives will always result in mission failure.
