I. Introduction

Unlike WOW, AION is a war game rather than raid game. In terms of equipments or quests design, AION is inclined to PVP rather than PVE.

II. Most Concerned Issues — Class Selection

Players who care about PVE, may ask which class can easily level up?
Players who care about PVP, may ask which class is relatively powerful?
So class selection is one of cutting points when beginners start to play AION. Personally, selecting the class should change modes of thinking.

Generally, players pay attention to skill balance among classes in WOW. In fact, the class balance in Korean games is below expectations at all time. Therefore AION adopts the idea of “vanquish”, e.g. Ranger can vanquish Sorcerer, Templar can vanquish Assassin, etc. The class balance in Korean games is far less professional than that of games in USA and Europe, so is AION. Personally, even the most powerful individual definitely cannot play excellently. NC advocates team balance. Although Ranger can vanquish Sorcerer, there is always one class that can vanquish Ranger in your team. Relative balance can be realized, when the scope is shifted from individual to team. Accordingly, class balance issue is transferred into team composition issue, meanwhile it can also stresses the importance of teamwork. Taking advantage of the new game idea, Korean has tactfully compensated for the weakness in game design.

Beginners must accept the new game idea as soon as possible and should realize that team composition cannot be ignored during class selection. Under a reasonable team composition, individual may coordinate personal preferences and strengths; members can foster strengths and circumvent weaknesses and also can help each other. The growth in AION is the running-in process with the team. Individual cannot conquer other classes in AION, but your team may achieve the goal. In the future, the enemy will rarely praise that how tough someone is in your guild, they will admire your powerful guild.

III. Most Concerned Issues — Equipment Issue

The analysis of equipment can help beginner to understand the core of game.
Take Golden Equipment for example, the followings are the same level ranked in order of excellence:
1 Abyss Golden Equipment
2 Crafting Golden Equipment
3 Golden Equipment acquired from Outdoor Bosses & Raid Bosses
Likewise, difficulty level in obtaining items also follows the above order.

NC think that PVP is the most challenging technical behavior. Equipments exchanged by abyss points, which are obtained through PVP, must be the ultimate.
The crafting master ranks the second. Depending on abundant funds and good luck, an ordinary person still cannot do it.
Grinding mobs is the lowest, so equipments obtained through this are the worst.

Obviously, AION is inclined to PVP rather than PVE.

In addition, equipments could be taken off from Boss in AION, but drop rate exists. The Golden Equipment may not drop although you try several times. Grinding mobs is the lowest, but it may take away large amounts of time and energy.

I can understand that most casual players grind and hunt outdoor boss just for fun. I just want to set forth the game’s development trend. Players need different equipments to continue gaming in different levels. The equipments in PVE have played an important role in the transition for a long time. The energy put in PVE needs continuously adjustment.

IV. Most Concerned Issues — Grabbing Resource

The shortage in resource exists in games of NC all the time, AION is no exception.
The number of mobs are not enough to meet the number of players and the drop rate of equipment is low, players should fight to grab everything. Because of the large expense, it is difficult to make ends meet. Players should grind hard early, then you will be a bit easier to survive in the future.

Beginner must make adequate psychological preparation for playing in AION. Because AION is not only a war game, but is a brutal war game. Ability to survive in leveling up actually is the first hurdle for every beginner.

There’s an interesting post on the forums that’s become a catalogue of what old-time players miss most about classic WoW. While it’s become a pretty thorough compilation of iconic moments, there are admissions that, well, maybe some of the stuff that’s fun to look back on wasn’t actually that much fun at the time. The examples include trying to get past a 40-man raid of the opposite faction into Molten Core, the boredom of raiding as little more than a glorified Decurse-bot, the countless guilds who broke up on Vael, and the fun of Tarren Mill/Southshore PvP that had the ancillary effect of making leveling in Hillsbrad such a nightmarish experience.

I’m seeing the first glimmers of such nostalgia for BC content start to emerge, and hearing a Sunwell PuG advertised as a “fun run” the other day left me speechless for a moment. It’s equal parts compelling and unnerving; part of me misses the struggle to down bosses in Tiers 4, 5, and 6, but I also remember ugly M’uru wipefests. Everyone likes looking back on the first boss kill, nobody likes remembering the 45-minute trash respawn timer in SSC, and I like to think that as the game has “grown up,” it has also gone resolutely forward.

But then, I’m not an old-school WoW player on the level of these forum posters, and I’m also not sure that the nostalgia for BC content will ever approach that for classic content. Is, say, Black Temple going to be looked upon as fondly as its classic counterparts like AQ40 someday, or is the classic “classic” and irretrievable for a reason?

You select your normal playtime hours so that you are not interrupted. Payment wise they only offer Paypal to process credit cards (you don’t need an account) and Money Order.
Unlike many other currency companies, SwagVault does well in selection and pricing. They provide many cheaper currencies and items, which make them standing out in this part and we give full score.

Customer Service (Score:4/5)
SwagVault has some of the best (if not the best) customer service in this industry. They provide customer service through a FAQs page, by phone, by email, and by live chat. The site's FAQs page is fairly extensive. Most of the common questions are addressed. Plus, the affiliate program has its own FAQ page.
The phone number for support is long-distance, so we were glad we didn't have to hold too long. Our representative was helpful and warmly. The question was answered quickly with perfect& fluent English, so we were off the phone pretty fast.
Compared with 2007, their Live Chat services are greatly improved. Our latest test with their Live Chat was pleasuring experience. The agents we talked to offered more legitimate responses and less canned copy and paste answers. Once you are connected with a live chat agent the response time to your specific queries has greatly improved indicating that the number of customers an agent is serving at once has decreased. We are glad that, SwagVault, as one of the earliest providers, does not let us down and worth our support.
As they still have some space to improve, we do not give them full score for this part.

When you have to arrange another time to meet them it can become a bit of a hassle. This combined with the fact that they only hold the gold for a certain amount of time before allocating it to another customer can become a bit frustrating if you have a busy schedule. Average delivery time is about 7 hours but sometimes it varied, because they often try to match your playtime so that they catch you while you are online in the game. All deliveries are suppose to be delivered within a day and as long as you order is under 3,000 gold they should be able to come through on this request over 90% of the time. Delivery times aren’t that consistent but you can turn the customer support for help and your problems will be solved quickly at their assistant. We like that they admit that they don’t keep huge stocks, and almost everything is a just-in-time inventory system where they are constantly purchasing gold from farmers and then dishing it off to customers 24/7/365. What’s better, you can estimate how long a delivery will take by asking live chat support to check how much currency they currently have on a server. We found their responses to generally be honest and to correspond with actual delivery times.

After the first chapter about the Wotlk factions introduction and the things you should know before you get 80, this chapter is about the 4 regular factions.

Argent Crusade, Kirin Tor, Knights of the Ebon Blade and The Wyrmrest Accord
As the picture below, four new head enchantments are the most important faction rewards because they are not replaceable throughout Wotlk. You can find some gears those are helpful for you, but you should know what is the first. Ok, buy a tabard and begin your heroic dungeon adventures.
Tabard of Kirin torIn fact, it would be better to say “how to run heroic dungeons quickly” rather than “how to gain the reputations of these 4 factions easily”. Once you reach friendly with these factions, the best way to get exalted is endless heroic runs. So, I have some suggestions for you about which heroic dungeons are the easiest ones in wotlk for you if you just get 80 for a few days.Utgarde Keep in the center of Howling Hjord is the best choice no matter what you want, the reputations or the badges, there are 3 bosses here and easy to defeat. Nexus is another good choice, additional melee boss(like Watchkeeper Gargolmar in Hellfire Ramparts) had been added in the half way of frozen gauntlet compared to normal difficulty so it has 5 badges in total. If you can find a good tank, you can try Drak’Tharon Keep southwest of Zul’drak and The Culling of Stratholme in the Cavern of Time. Both of them are short runs and have nice loots and badges.

The Factions You Should Know in Wotlk

There are 3 force factions, 3 single factions and 4 regular factions in Wotlk. 3 force factions are Explorers’ League, The Sliver Covenant, Valiance Expedition for Aliance players and Warsong Offensive, Hand of Vengeance, Taunka for Horde players. The reputation for these factions can be gained from the quests in different force camps throughout Northrend continent. There are only a few rewards with these factions so you don’t need pay much attentions to them. You will active the achievement The Winds of the North if you gain exalted reputation with all three factions.

The Sons of Hodir3 single factions are The Kalu’ak, The Sons of Hodir and Frenzyheart Tribe/The Oracle; The Kalu’ak is the faction of the new race Tuskarr in Wotlk whose villages lie along the seacoast in Borean Tundra, Dragonblight and Howling Fjord. You can get 1500 reputations everyday from 3 dailies except the normal quests. They have some funny rewards like epic fishing pole, penguin pet and 28 slot leatherworking bag, of course it is not a necessary faction for most players. The Sons of Hodir is the faction of ancient giants in Storm Peaks, you have to complete a very long quest chain which started in K3 to activate this faction. The final step of this quest chain will make you friendly with those giants and finally you will get 3 daily quests at first after everything are done. This faction is very important for all the players because this is the new shoulder slot enchantments. Frenzyheart Tribe/The Oracle is the wotlk version of The Aldor and The Scryer ,with some funny daily quests and a few faction rewards, the difference is you can switch from one to another and get exalted with both factions.

Talent analysis for warroir tank in Wotlk

Now we got 4 tank classes in wotlk: Warrior, Druid, Paladin and Death Knight. Warrior is the oldest among the 4 and it’s been modified most greatly in talent trees, so I’d like to discuss something about the talent for a warrior tank.

Warrior used to be the only proper tank in the original WOW, the most balanced tank in TBC with the distinct weak point of AOE tanking. Yes, we used to lack effective threat-generating moves against multi-mobs….but not anymore. With the new talents, warriors have been granted the ability to keep aggro of mass mobs (like what pallys did in hyjal) AND the greatest mobility while performing tank tasks, thanks to the new tank-designing philosophy of BLZ.

OK, let’s get to the point. As a warrior tank, your points should be mainly used in the protection tree but the other 2 trees also provide great assistance to your survival and aggro.

Protection:

Improved Bloodrage: Pointless, one of the few talents in protection tree that you should not take under any circumstances. You won’t lack the extra rage it provides and your talent points are limited.

Shield Specialization: Something a warrior tank cannot miss from the beginning of WOW. Not to mention the combination with the new shield block skill/improved defensive stance(mentioned later on) and the high base block rating in wotlk. Max it without a second thought.

Improved Thunder Clap: Another mandatory talent. Helpful to both your survival and mass aggro. Been admiring pally in hyjal for the past year? Then max it.

Incite: As stated above, Thunder Clap is one of your few regular mass aggro skills, and I cannot find any excuse to pass this talent…extra 15% crits! Not to mention the importance of heroic strike in boss tanking. Cleave? Icing on the cake.

Anticipation: Extra dodge always helps. But for me, I might not have enough points for this(well, it’s up to your own opinion)

Last Stand: Do I need to say anything more? Especially with the CD lowered, it’s a must-have skill for a tank.

The Withered Troll around Ebon Watch drop Unliving Choker which will start a very very long chain quest, the first step is An Invitation, of Sorts…, take the Unliving Choker to Stefan Vadu in Ebon Watch, then Near Miss, take the Unliving Choker to Bloodrose Datura who stand in a small tent here. And next step is You Can Run, But You Can’t Hide, go to the Reliquary of Agony to collect 5 Putrid Abomination Guts from the Putrid Abominations and 5 Gooey Ghoul Drools. After you back, you’ll get Dressing Down, purchase Bitter Plasma from Gristlegut while in Scourge form, you must complete a quest Feedin’ Da Goolz which wants you to use Bowels and Brains Bowl next to 10 Decaying Ghouls from Gristlegut, then you can buy goods it sells. Back to Ebon Watch, you get Infiltrating Voltarus, that send you to Voltarus and give you an item Stefan’s Horn which you can call out Stefan Vadu wherever you are. Talk to Overlord Drakuru for quest Dark Horizon, just speak to Gorebag on the platform and take the tour of Zul’Drak, then you get It Rolls Downhill, use the Scepter of Suggestion on the Blight Geists and then order them to harvest 7 Blight Crystals, after you done this quest, use the horn call out Stefan Vadu to end the quest Infiltrating Voltarus and get the new order So Far, So Bad which wants you to complete the tasks from Drakuru and use the Diluting Additive on 5 Scourge Cauldrons, back to Overlord Drakuru after you destroyed enough Cauldrons, he’ll give you the quest Fuel for the Fire, to use the Scepter of Command on Bloated Abominations and then use their abilities at the Frigid Breach to kill 60 Drakkari Skullcrushers and lure out 3 Drakkari Chieftains. Grab an abomination, use the abomination to gather a bunch of trolls up, and explode the abomination on the mobs. If your abomination dies to despawns due to going out of range, all of the mobs that were on it will attack you. For every 20 trolls you kill, a chieftan will appear. Then call out Stefan Vadu for the quest Hazardous Materials, steal 5 Harvested Blight Crystals and complete a task Drakuru has for you, back to Overlord Drakuru and get the quest Zero Tolerance, go to the Reliquary of Pain and use the Scepter of Empowerment on a Servant of Drakuru then use its abilities to defeat Darmuk, this quest is a little hard to solo, you can’t use your own abilities to help the fight otherwise you’ll lose the control of your pet, so sometimes you need stun Darmuk and control another Servant of Drakuru when you pet in danger. After you completed this quest, call out Stefan Vadu to get Sabotage, perform another task for Drakuru and use the Explosive Charges on 5 Scourgewagons at the Reliquary of Pain; Back to Overlord Drakuru again and get Disclosure, take the teleporter to his upper chamber and start a tour there with the guide. Then call Stefan Vadu for the last step of this long chain that is Betrayal, defeat Drakuru at the top of the chamber with the help of controlled Blood Trolls.

The Liquid Fire of Elune from Warden Jodi Moonsong which wants you to use the Liquid Fire of Elune to cleanse the corpses of 6 Blighted Elk and 6 Rabid Grizzlies in the north, then Kill the Cultists, collect 5 Functional Cultist Suits to her, the functional cultist suits dropped by Anub’ar Cultists, they also drop an item The Favor of Zangus which will start a quest to Warden Jodi Moonsong too, and then The High Cultist which wants you to slay High Cultist Zangus
A Disturbance In The West is a chain quest started from Vas the Unstable in Wintergarde Keep who wants you to speak to Rodney Wells and take a ride with the quest To Stars’ Rest!; After you get to Star’s Rest, you’ll get Rifle the Bodies, Find the Moonrest Gardens Plans from the Image of Archmage Modera. The further step is Prevent the Accord, deliver Wind Trader Mu’fah’s Remains and the Scales of Goramosh to the Image of Archmage Modera. Be sure that you’ll get Goramosh’s Strange Device in the loot of Goramosh and this item will begin a quest A Strange Device, speak to Archmage Modera at Stars’ Rest. This is a 14 steps chain quest and will end in Wyrmrest Temple. After you finished this, you’ll get Projections and Plans, get close to and observe the projection atop the Surge Needle floating above Moonrest Gardens, then The Focus on the Beach which wants you to obtain the Ley Line Focus Control Ring and use it to gain information from the Ley Line Focus on the Glittering Strand, the 4th step is Atop the Woodlands, obtain the Ley Line Focus Control Amulet and use it to gain information from the Ley Line Focus in the Lothalor Woodlands, and Search Indu’le Village, search for the commander of the mage hunter forces who is at 40,67 under the water. Then The End of the Line, use the Ley Line Focus Control Talisman to gain information from the Ley Line Focus under Lake Indu’le, then Gaining an Audience this step will send you to the Wyrmrest Temple, and further steps will be there.

The sprawling Borean Tundra lies at the far southwestern tip of Northrend, the icy continent also known as the roof of the world. Alliance settlers built the Valiance Keep at southeast of Borean Tundra and preparing to launch an offensive against the Lich King and his undead armies. You can take a ship from Stormwind Harbor (north of the Stormwind City) to Valiance Keep
Most of the quests in Borean Tundra are easy to get and simple to do, you can earn lots of quick experiences here, although I have completed all the quests I can find here but there still 5 quests lost for Alliance players, I guess blizzard will add the last 5 quest for this achievement in further version.
Valiance Keep is the first stand you begin your adventure in Northrend, you can do some quick quests here and get several T4 level equipments especially weapons from quest rewards. That is helpful for your alts if they didn’t well-geared.
Enlistment Day is the first quest you get here from Recruitment Officer Blythe at the square, meet with General Arlos inside the barracks in Valiance Keep, then you will have a simple impresstion of the situations here.
General Arlos will send you to Sergeant Hammerhill with quest A Time for Heroes who ride a black goat at the main entrance, quest The Siege want you to kill 6 Crypt Crawlers in the Sands of Nasam outside of Valiance Keep, then Death From Above, use the Reinforced Net to help you slay 6 Scourged Flamespitters and finally Plug the Sinkholes, use the Incendiary Explosives to collapse two sinkholes, one of the sinkholes is at the southwest edge of Sands of Nasam and a little hard to find, another one is by Farshire.
At the same time you are doing the quests above, you will get the quest A Soldier in Need from Medic Hawthorn outside of Valiance Keep, the quest item can be found in the center of town on the boat. And you will find other 2 quests on the boat, the one is Notify Arlos from Admiral Cantlebree on the upper floor of the boat, and another is from the ritual inside the boat, next to the quest item chest of A Soldier in Need.
Get back to barracks again, you can get Enemies of the Light from Harbinger Vurenn, kill the Cultist Necrolytes northwest of the Valiance Keep by the Farshire till you get Cultist Communique then return to Vurenn; The second step is Further Investigation, bring the Cultist Communique to Vindicator Yaala inside the inn in Valiance Keep; then you will get The Hunt is On, use the Oculus of the Exorcist in three different locations in Valiance Keep to uncover and defeat Cult of the Damned members, after you used the Oculus, you will see Cult of the Damned member in black form, talk with them and kill them, the one in prison is Guard Mitchells, inside of the barrack.
Finally you can get the first part of a long chain quest from Mark Hanes next to Sergeant Hammerhill, Word on the Street, find Leryssa at the inn in Valiance Keep; then Thassarian, My Brother, look for William Allerton inside the Farshire mine, William Allerton is dead and you can find his corpse inside of the Farshire mine, then you get the quest The Late William Allerton, report back to Leryssa and get the 4th step Lost and Found, speak to James Deacon who is in the inn too. In Wine, Truth let you salvage a bottle of Kul Tiras Wine from the underwater shipwreck northeast of Valiance Keep and bring it to Old Man Colburn in the Valiance Keep inn, the wine shows as a small box in the middle part of the sunken boat and some sharks swim around it; After you back, A Deserter lead you to the prison inside of the barracks in Valiance Keep, then Cowards and Fools let you speak to Ataika in Kaskala, you can stop this chain quest here because the further steps will finally lead you to Thassarian at Death’s Stand (Point 11) and starts a new series of quests then end with Last Rites for this story.

The release date for the second expansion of the world's most successful MMORPG, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, has just been announced. The game releases on November 14 in Australia, and November 13 for Europe and North America. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King allows players to travel to Northrend where they're able to meet King Arthas Menethil, who fans will recognise from Warcraft III and its expansion, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Players are able to battle the Lich King's undead army, while leveling up to the new cap of level 80, and can gain fresh abilities when exploring original areas and dungeons. AOC Combat Grouping Tips

Positioning is Everything - This is not a new concept in the MMORPG genre, but it does take a little spin in Age of Conan (AoC). When engaging enemies the tank should be face to face with your foe and everyone else should be at his back. The reason for this is that in AoC when an enemy swings a weapon, everyone (not just the tank) in the path of that weapon is hit. This can in some cases cause your healer a lot of unnecessary work, so by positioning yourself strategically you can minimize the damage and your healer will thank you for it. Keep in mind that if you don't and it comes down to you and the tank needing a heal at the same time, the tank takes priority. Save yourself the dirt nap.

The One Puller Per Group Policy - In each group you will often times have one person that pulls. If you are not that person...DON'T PULL! Anyone from past games can tell you that having more than one person trying to play the groups puller is a recipe for disaster. This will lead to cross pulling, split aggro, and in harder fights a potential group wipe. You may feel that you can solo an enemy and maybe you can, but don't. This will annoy your fellow group members and if your healer is like some of the ones I know you might be counting grains of dirt before you get a heal for doing so. Work with your group. If you want to solo, leave and go do so.

Assisting - One good thing to always practice is assisting your main assist for the group. This will keep you from splitting your damage which will take down enemies much slower. Not assisting also causes aggro division and in some cases can interrupt some of your group mates attempts at crowd control. You should always assist unless told otherwise. In some cases you may be called to offtank an enemy, but unless told to do so make sure you assist.

Know Your Role - There are a few universal constants in the MMORPG world. One of those is that people have certain expectations of a class. Recruiting a healer for example... When a group recruits a healer they will expect them to, well heal. In some rare cases you will run across healers who believe they are dps classes. If you believe yourself to be one of these classes tell your group up front. Chances are they are expecting a healer and not someone that is going to blow their mana on healer nukes. So if you have no intention of being a healer when recruited, state it up front.

Aggro management is the responsibility of the whole group.

Aggro Control - Many people have for a long time been under the mistaken impression that aggro control is the sole responsibility of the tank. This is however not the case. Aggro control is the responsibility of the whole group. They must work together and not against each other. The greatest tank in the world with the highest allowed aggro skills will still lose aggro to a nuke happy caster or an over attacking dps class. There are a few things you can do to aid your tank in maintaining aggro.

AOC GUILD Ethics

Greed - When you join a group there will be more people than just you competing for loot. Don't be greedy when it comes to rolls. If a group member can use an item that you get as an upgrade and the best you can do with it is to sell it, pass and let them have the upgrade. More loot will come trust me. This will show your fellow players that you aren't a greedy tool concerned with only furthering your own ends. Greedy people tend to earn a reputation as such in these games and while the backlash isn't as prominent in today's MMORPGs it is still there. Earning a bad rep with the wrong person could potentially keep you out of future groups and in some cases guilds.
Ninja Looting - To cover this you must first know what a Ninja looter is. A Ninja Looter is a person who will loot any and everything before the bag or the corpse hits the ground. If you do this...STOP! People hate you. Not all loot will be rolled on. Some can be taken strait from the bags and in some cases depending on the loot settings maybe all can, but that doesn't mean you have to take it all. Remember that you are grouped and everyone needs coin, so take your share, but don't take everyone else's with it. If you take the loot from one guy, skip the next few and then take another. This will at least show that you are trying to share. People hate Ninja Looters and you can bet that if you are one you will be remembered as one, and word travels fast in the MMORPG world.

Need Before Greed (NBG) - One of the most popular loot options in many MMORPGs is the NBG option. Some players will make verbal agreements about this or just use the in-game mechanic. If the in-game mechanic is used this can sometimes lead to group arguments when a person that really doesn't need an item rolls need anyway. If you don't need or can't really use an item you should ALWAYS roll greed. This will save you a lot of drama. If you are confused about something you might want to roll on you should take a moment to discuss it with your group. Many people are understanding in most cases and if you need something for an alt and no one else has a use for it, often times they will let you have it. Communication is an important key in the NBG process. This goes especially for group leaders as they set the loot rules

Patience Grasshopper - For some people this will be their first time in an MMORPG. If it is they will likely have no idea what our terms and terminology are. Don't go ballistic on them for not understanding. Just remember that at some point you were new to the genre as well, and in all likelihood when someone said something like HoT or Bio, you were lost. So show a little patience and help them out a little. Constructive criticism goes a long way. If they need a crash course in terminology, point them to 'ol Tuk's guide to Terms and Terminology. I speak from experience when I say showing patience and helping someone along the way can payoff for you down the road.

Don't Leech - A leech is someone who will often times join a group and do nothing more than soak up experience. These people are just along for a free ride and if players catch on fast enough they will likely be booted. If you join a group, pull your load. Don't sit back and try to reap the benefits of everyone else's hard work. If you intend to be away for a long period of time, offer to leave the group. If the group tells you to stay your good to go, but don't blatantly take advantage of their good will.

AoC Guide: Conquerer Leveling and Feat Guides

This was written from Early access session experience.
Starting out:
You can choose to be Cimmerian or Aquilonian. There are no starting racial differences or starting trait advantages between the two, so pick the one you think you can make look the best and enter into the world of AoC.
Levels 1-5:
These are fairly straight forward. After the intro cut-scene turn 180 degrees and swim out into the water and down for a chest. Just some quick loot to sell later on. Talk to the girl in chains to get your quest to enter the city. Walk around the island and kill pirates, smugglers, apes, and pics. By the time you get to Tortage you should be 5 or close to it.
Levels 5-10:
This is where things can diverge if you so choose. You'll get a quest from the guard outside of the city gate to talk to Tina at the inn which is right inside the city gate to your right. Talk to Tina and you can choose to start your destiny quest. I'm not going to give any spoilers here other then to say this is a solo quest you do and can take you to lvl 10 easily, 15 if you decide to kill everything you can.If you choose not to start your destiny quest at this time, just go around and get as many quests around town as possible and go to town (pardon the pun). Don't get overwhelmed by how many quests you get (BTW your quest log holds up to 32 quests if I counted right). Your map and mini map will point you to where the quests are, its very user friendly and is very hard to get lost. The quest log not quite so user friendly.You can choose to do your destiny quest at any time, just beware that the mobs level up as you do for your quest. So don't think you can level to 15 then blow through it.
Levels 15-20:
At level 15 you can restart up your destiny quest. Once again no spoilers as it is very linear and self explanatory. By this time you should be ready to port to your home city. Being Cimmerian I port to Connarch Village, Aquilonians I believe port to Old Tarantia (don't quote me as I'm too rough and gruff to roll a sissy la-la man).You'll get to talk to a Drifter for your destiny quest who tells you to come back at lvl 30. Once again, no spoilers, you'll just have to experience these for yourself.In the meantime, rinse and repeat the going around town and gathering as many quests as possible. You should be familiar with how the quest system works so check your map often and try and be as efficient as possible. There are a few quests around town that just have you basically be a barbaric Fed-Ex guy. So knock those out (avoid the drunken hobo!) After you're done with the stuff in town you'll be introduced to the real wilds of the game. Knock out the quests and work your way down to the Cimmerian Settlement where you'll get a bunch more quests. By the time you're done with these you should be close to 30, if not 30.
Levels 30-35:
You get Heavy Armor now so soloing gets easier if that is your style. Start doing the Gravesinger quests (starts with Korm Wolfeye at his camp)for some very nice blue heavy armor.By this time you should have a good idea of what is going on and where you need to go. I took a break from this area and went to Old Taratina and started working on quests over here. Doing grey quests (basically super easy quests) are a great way of getting some real quick and easy experience so don't pass them over!I'll leave the rest up to you as you venture forth into the wilds.
Skills:
I spent over 7 silver testing these this morning, so these are the conclusions based on the respecs. If I've mis-read the skill sets and what they do please feel free to chime in and let me know if something is amiss.Well you'll notice as you level up you get skill points for various things such as Hiding, Climbing, Bandaging, etc...etc... and you'll end up getting quite a few of them as you level up. Before I start I'll let you know as best as I can tell they are broke, busted, not working and any other adjective you can use to describe a borked system. With that said I'll introduce you to them briefly and let you know which ones work. (I thought I took a SS but apparently didn't so please forgive me as I forgot the names of a few of them)
Bandaging:
Increases the amount of health you heal as you rest. Doesn't seem to work as best as I can tell. With max bandaging it was the same or a tad faster then zero points in it. At higher levels you get an additional component of this I believe called Fast Recovery which gives you a chance to double the amount of Health gained while resting. This does seem to work as every so often I notice a jump of health returned.
Err..forgot the name of this one
Works the same as Bandaging but restores your Stamina as you rest. It does allow Stamina to be regenerated while resting. The additional ability gained at a higher level allows you to double the amount of the Stamina regenerated while resting. Same as above, as it seems to work every so often as I'll notice a jump of Stamina while resting.
Endurance: Reduces the cost of stamina usage as your sprint. Doesn't work. With max points invested it uses the same rate as it does with zero points invested.
Fast Running: Allows you to run faster out of combat. Doesn't work either. Speed is the same regardless as max points or zero points invested. I've heard that it works only while sprinting, but this didn't change anything either.
Climbing: It allows you to climb areas. IT WORKS! Throughout the game there are climb points that allow you access to different areas and the ability to climb these are based on how many points needed. i.e. some areas will require 150 points, 200, even seen a couple 600 point climbs. Not really sure how much we need these but atm, after my respecs this is where I'm putting points. I've found a couple areas out of the way with nice views and even quest areas that were out of the way from the over-camped areas.
Perception: This is hit or miss. Sometimes I had great luck with it othertimes I couldn't find someone 11 levels lower then me who stealthed right next to me. Caveat Empor with this one. Your mileage will vary.
Hiding: Allows you to hide and decreases your chance to be detected the more points invested. Doesn't seem to work. A few points into it is necessary for basic hiding, but I get busted with it all the time by NPC's from various distances. With max hiding I would get pulled out of hiding by mobs 20 yards away quite frequently. Besides as a Conqueror moving while hiding is a great way to drain stamina extremely fast, so I don't recommend it for sneaking past NPC's as if you get jumped with no stamina it gets quite brutal trying to fight with no stamina.
Taunt:Adds threat to your attacks. Can't tell if this works or not. When grouped with lower levels they couldn't pull aggro off me and when grouped with higher levels it was hit or miss.I do believe that is all of our skills we have at lvl 40.
Feats: And should I go Dual Wield or 2 Hand?Well women always like big burly men that use both hand to hold...nevermind. Anyways, which route to go is entirely up to you. I love the fact this class can spec either way, its great versatility so I recommend trying both out. Here is a Feat Calculator to use to see which route looks appealing to you and your playstyle.Conquerors as stated above can choose to Dual Wield (no daggers) or a single gigantic 2 Hand weapon (no polearms). We also share the generic Soldier feat tree which grants us more specialization for tanking, DPS, increased resistances. I have never been a fan of multi-specced classes, so my generic recommendation is choose a tree and stick with it. However, your playstyle will vary greatly from mine, but if you don't like your particular choice you can visit Feat Trainers and respec for a fee. The Dual Wield tree (Carnage) is based around fast hitting, blender chopping, DoT attacks. This tree's main weakness is that it lacks knockdowns and stuns. Please feel free to add if there additional strengths or weakness' to this tree and forgive my inexperience in regards to this tree.The 2 Hand tree (Brute) is based around slow, hard hitting, devastating attacks. This tree gets a stun and increases the damage of your knockdown attacks and counter attacks. Again, please feel free to add to this as your experience dictates.The General tree augments existing abilities and adds to the overall specialization of your playstyle. Straight forward and basic.
Playstyle: Or how do we do solo as well as in groups?
Solo: I spend a lot of time both solo and grouped. Being on a PvP server its nice to have a group of friends around, but I do find myself going solo alot as I work on crafting, catching up on quests that others have done, etc..etc..I generally don't have any problems taking on multiple mobs. At level 31 I was able to solo the Elite Ymir Frostgiants with about 10-20% health left at the end. Packs of mobs a couple levels lower went down fairly easy as well. I spent a couple hours grinding over the weekend and was able to chain pull lvl 30 Varnir Elite Captains getting 350 xp a kill. I was able to solo the Spider Cave right before the Plains of the Dead when the mobs were 3 levels or so below me as well as kill the Lurker inside.Potions, Food, and Sprint are your friends. All of my armor and weapons are quest rewards or drops so this isn't being twinked out or using the best of the best. I generally swing by the potion and food merchant and buy 20 stamina and 20 health pots and it keeps me self sustaining for a few hours. I give the class a huge thumbs up for solo playability.
Group: Groups are where we really shine. We have a variety of buffs, commands, auras, and procs that make us a very desired and wanted class in groups and instances. We get a mysterious ability called Furious Inspiration that as far as I can tell procs when our group mates get hit. It stacks up to 10 times and when it is fully applied will proc in-combat resses on fallen members, increase the damage of all in our group, and just make us really popular, sorta like the prom king (or queen if your a girl).
We get stances, Normal, Frenzy, and Defensive.
Frenzy: Our offensive stance. Adds 150% damage but we take 300% more. You do not, I repeat, do not want to be in this stance while tanking. Defensive: Our tanking stance. Lowers incoming damage but slowly drains stamina while in it and decreases out offensive power. I was originally disappointed with Defensive stance in Beta and considered the only viable stance to be that of Frenzy, but find myself staying in Defensive more and more often, especially solo now. (You were right Renuo I'm eating my words in release) I don't really notice the stamina drain from the stance and my damage input/output in Defensive is worth it atm over the input/output from Frenzy stance right now. Maybe when I take the Frenzy feats it will be more worthwhile but in solo and pvp Defensive is very viable, plus there are defensive feats which may offset the lower dps of being in Defensive Stance.Soldier Skills:We get Charge at level 20. Charge is an ability that uses out Stamina but propels us forward to a target and increases the damage of our next attack. Charge is wonky right now I feel. Sometimes I'll get teleported 40 or 50 yards away, or charge through players, get stuck in trees or rocks, or just get a message saying you can't charge your current target. It may be that I grew used to Charge from World of Warcraft, but currently if there is anything in your way, or if there is an elevation change between you and your target you're going to more then likely not charge. Not too sure why you'll get teleported. I've heard tell that it is because you queue an attack before you charge. That may very well be the case, but I've stopped queuing attacks and still get it on occasion. Overall Impressions:Well being out for only 3 days it may be premeptive to be releasing a review/impression thread, but with retail starting tomorrow I thought it would be worthwhile and beneficial for those coming in. I do apologize for any errors that may be present, if you do notice something that is incorrect please feel free to either PM me or post a reply and I'll do my best to look into it and change any incorrections.My thoughts on the class are very positive and I'm enjoying the variety the class offers. It can do all things well from DPS, support, and tanking. Being on a PvP server I've already had quite a few battles. Getting jumped solo by a ranger or caster has been pretty rough and more often then not has resulted in a run back from the spawn point, but getting jumped by melee has been a different story. Head to head I've been pretty impressed with our damage and ability to survive. Charged being borked leaves a foul taste in my mouth regarding pvp but I'm sure that will be fixed or I'll just adjust to using it in its current state. Solo and group play I'm more then satisfied with my choice of the Conqueror and I look forward to the last half of the levels.

World of Warcraft Reputation Guide for Ogrila

Location
Ogri'la is located on the western edge of the Blades Edge Mountains between Forge Camp Terror and Forge Camp Wrath. You can only access Ogri'la by flying mount or flight form. The easiest way to reach Ogri'la is by flying dead west of Sylvanaar.

General Information
Ogri'la is a village of ogres who have overcome their brutish nature and broken away from the domination of the Gronn lords. They are in constant battle with the Dragons of the Black Dragonflight, the Burning Legion, and the Gronn lords that still hold control over many of the ogre communites of Blades Edge Mountains.

According to lore, the ogres' proximity to Apexis formations is what have enabled them to attain a higher level of civilization than other ogres. The Ogri'la ogres are aided by the Sha'tari skyguard and players that have defeated the Sons of Gruul.

Apexis shards and crystals are the currency of Ogri'la. After attaining enough reputation with Ogri'la to purchase rewards, you will need to use Apexis Shards and Apexis crystals to buy them. Apexis shards come as rewards for the daily repeatable quests that are available to you in Ogri'la. They can also be looted from nearby beasts and from Apexis formations.

Many of the Rare and Epic quality items sold on the reputation vendor also you to have some of the much less common Apexis Crystals. Apexis crystals can only be looked from the summoned dragons and demons in the zone. These are elite boss mobs that mimic many classic raid bosses on a smaller scale. It requires 35 Apexis Shards to summon these bosses and a balanced party of five players is needed to defeat them. Each party member will be able to loot one Apexis Crystal.
Flasks and More....

Apexis shards also serve as currency for acquiring special flasks, found from different dispensers across the map. These flasks can only be only be used in Blades Edge Mountains and Gruul's Lair, and will save you hundreds of gold when raiding that instance. Once every two hours, a group of Sha'tari Skyguard will launch an attack against Bash'ir Landing to the north east. They fly out from the Skyguard Base.

Three waves of enemies will spawn and attack the Skyguard NPC's, each wave stronger then the previous. It is your job to ensure that the Skyguard NPC's survive for as long as possible. If all of the Skyguard NPC's are killed the event ends. At the end of each wave a boss has to be defeated. Once he is defeated a vendor will appear to sell special items. Three different vendors are available, but only one will spawn for each wave defeated.

The first sells special flasks that cannot be attained at any other time. The second vendor to spawn will sell rare gems. The third vendor to spawn will sell rare meta gems. You must use Apexis Shards as currency for these vendors. The waves and subsequent bosses that spawn during this event get increasingly difficult. In order to complete the event, a well organized raid of at least 25 people is needed.

Gaining Ogrila Reputation
The quest line for gaining reputation with Ogri'la begins in Lower City and leads to an ogre named Mog'dorg the Wizened in Blades Edge Mountains. He will give you three quests to destroy the three Sons of Gruul: “Grulloc Has Two Skulls”, “Maggoc's Treasure Chest”, and “Even Gronn Have Standards”.

You will need a balanced five person group to complete these quests. After your group has completed these three tasks, return to Mog'dorg the Wizened and he will send you on two more five-man quests. After completing these you will attain Neutral standing with Ogri'la and will be able to acquire quests there.

Do all available quests in Ogri'la and the Skyguard base, including five-mans. Doing so will open up daily repeatable quests, often known simply as “dailies”. At Neutral reputation you can open unlock three different daily quests. These quests give 500 reputation points each, as well as 15 apexis crystals. They are, “The Relic's Emanation”, “Wrangle Some Aether Rays!”, and “Bombing Run”.

At honored reputation you will then unlock another daily: “Banish the Demons”. It is at this point that you will also be able to do the Shartuul event. While doing your daily quests you will encounter an item called a “Depleted Crystal Focus”. When this is combined with ten Apexis Shards it becomes a “Charged Crystal Focus”. While it looks like – and can serve as – a normal Health Stone, it is best saved for completing the Shartuul event where these will be required to enhance the demons under your control. As said in the tool tip of a “Charged Crystal Focus”, Kronk in Ogri'la can tell you all about the Shartuul event.

Skyguard Rep Guide

World of Warcraft Skyguard Rep Guide

Any player in the World of Warcraft can raise their Skyguard reputation and start out as neutral with them.

The Sha'tari Skyguard is an air wing of the Sha'tar of Shattrath City, defenders of the capital from attacks from the hills.

To raise your reputation with them, you will be battling the Arakkoa of Terokk in the peaks of Skettis as well.

Skyguard has two different outposts, one that lies close to Ogri'la and one that is in the northern area of the Skethyl Mountains.

The Skyguard quests are linked with the Orgi'La Faction in the Blades Edge Mountains, and you will be able to raise your reputation with both by completing some of these quests. When you start out gaining your reputation for Skyguard, you will start two different quest chains.

One will lead you into the Barrier Hills and the other will lead you into the Lower City and then up into the Blades Edge Mountains. The second quest chain will bring your reputation with Ogri'La up first, but it actually makes the grinding easier if you do the quests in the Blades Edge Mountains and the Ogri'La quests at the same time.

One thing that you will need to remember with the Skyguard reputation quests is that most of the quests will require you to have a flying mount already, so you will be level 70 and therefore not gain any experience points for kills.

From neutral to friendly: When you start out on your reputation quests for Skyguard, you'll start in Shattrath City with the quests given by Yuula, which are “Threat From Above” and “To Skettis!”. “Threat From Above” will have you kill 20 Gordunni Ogres, and turn this in to Yuula, then you'll get “To Skettis!”, which will have you simply deliver a package to Sky Sergeant Doryn in Skettis.

Once you get to him, he'll give you the first of the daily quests, which is “Fires Over Skettis” and will have you bombed 20 Monstrous Kalari Eggs. Near him is Severin, who will also give you quests. He will give you “World of Shadows”. Once you complete that quest, you can then get “More Shadow Dust”, which is a daily quest that you can do to gain more reputation points with Skyguard. You can also get “Secrets of the Talonpriests” from Sky Commander Adaris once you have completed “World of Shadows”. Although this isn't a daily quest, it does gain you good reputation points.

From neutral to friendly: To begin this part of your reputation quest, you must have your riding skill of 300. You will get the quest “In Service of the Illidari” from Mordenai. This quest is fun, as it turns you into a fel orc when you get to the Dragonmaw Base Camp or Netherwing Ledge. It will also turn your mount into a Netherdrake. You have to deliver Illidari Service Papers to Overlord Mor'ghor who is on Netherwing Ledge. He will then give you “Enter the Taskmaster”. This quest will have you find, and speak with, Taskmaster Varkule Dragonbreath, who will give you the beginnings of the daily quests.

After you turn them all in, you can talk to Skyguard Handler Deesak, who will give you “Hungry Nether Rays”. This quest will have you kill 10 Blackwind Warp Chasers.

You can also get another daily quest, “Escape from Skettis” from any of the Skyguard Prisoners that you find, as this is an escort quest where you simply escort the prisoner to the ground. And, since it's a daily quest, you can do this one every day as you come across prisoners.
From here, you'll start another chain that is pretty much just running back and forth for a couple of quests. The chain starts when you kill Ishaal for the “Secrets of the Talonpriests” quest, when he will drop an Almanac that will start “Ishaal's Almanac”. You'll take this to Adaris, for that part of the chain.

You'll then get “An Ally in Lower City” from Adaris, which will have you take the almanac to Rilak.

He will then give you “Countdown to Doom”, which will have you return to Adaris.

Then, you will talk to Hazzik, who will give you “Hazzik's Bargain”. Once you turn this in, you'll get “A Shabby Disguise” and “Adversarial Blood” (this second quest is repeatable). You will want to do “Adversarial Blood” as many times as you can, as its one of the higher reputation yeilding quest for Skyguard. You will then get “Terokk's Downfall”, which is a group quest and you will need 5 good players for it. The good thing about this part is that it earns you 1000 reputation points with Skyguard.

This quest is given by Sky Commander Adaris. After doing the group quest, you should be at least to friendly, or right on the lip of it if you haven't done a lot of the daily quests.

From friendly to honored: The next area that you will go to for quests is the Blade's Edge Mountains, where the Skyguard Outpost is. You will actually get a quest from Chu'a'lor (who is Ogri'La), called “The Skyguard Outpost” that will take you there. From that point, you'll speak to Sky Commander Keller, to turn it in. He will also give you “To Rule The Skies”, which is a group quest, so make sure that you have some friends ready for this one.

You can also get “Assault on Bash'ir Landing”, after you complete the others that he gives you, which will just have you speak to someone and is an easy quest to do to gain reputation points. You'll then talk to Sky Sergeant Vanderlip who will give you “Bombing Run” which will have you bomb 15 stacks of Fel Cannonballs. Once you finish it, you'll get “Bomb Them Again”, which is another daily quest.

Then, you speak to Skyguard Khatie, who gives you “Wrangle Some Aether Rays”. Once you finish this quest, you'll get “Wrangle More Aether Rays”, which is a daily quest. Now, you find Chu'a'lor again, and he will give you “Guardian of the Monument” which is another group quest. After this quest, you'll get “An Apexis Relic” and then the daily quest “The Relic's Emanation”.

From honored to exalted: From here, you should be over honored by now, especially if you are doing the daily quests. The next two quests you'll get from Kronk, and they are: “Banish the Demons” and “Banish More Demons”, which is a daily quest. You will pretty much do the daily quests from here on in until you reach exalted.

You will also get 5 reputation points from any Skettis that you kill in the Skettis Valley, and 2 1/5 reputation points from each Skettis Kaliri that you kill in the Skettis Plateau. So, even though these aren't a lot, if you grind as you are doing your daily quests, you can rack up some extra reputation points each day.

Your Sha'tari Skyguard NetherRay: Once you hit exalted with Skyguard, you will also need to have a level 300 Artisan riding skill and 200 gold to gain your NetherRay. There are several colors to choose from: blue, purple, green, silver, and red.

Netherwing Rep Guide

World of Warcraft Netherwing Reputation Guide

For those who are ready to get those Netherwing Drake flying mounts, raising your reputation with Netherwing is the only way to get there. Just like with Skyguard, you will start off hated and you have to work your way up to exalted to gain the flying mount that increases your speed 280%.

So, just how do you do this? While some quests can only be done once a day, there is plenty that you can do to raise your reputation as fast as possible. (You will have to already have a flying mount to even begin this process, as one of the first quests that you get will require one.)

Here is a basic path that you can follow to go from hated to exalted with Netherwing:

From hated to neutral: To begin your questing to become neutral with Netherwing, you will first talk to Mordenai at the Netherwing Fields, east of the Sanctum of the Stars, which is the Scryer base in Shadowmoon Valley. He will give you the quest “Kindness”, which will require you to kill Rocknail Flayers that will feed the Netherwing Drakes in the field.

Once you turn this in to Mordenai, you will then get “Seek Out Neltharaku”. Neltharaku is the Netherwing Dragon who flies up above the fields, so this is where your flying mount comes in. Once you find him and are able to talk to him, you will get “Neltharaku's Tale”, which is just listening to him. Then, you will get “Infiltrating Dragonmaw Fortress”. This quest will have you kill Dragonmaw Orcs. One of the fastest ways to do this quest is to go to Netherwing Ledge and kill the Dragonmaw Peons, since you can kill 2-4 at a time.

Now, Neltharaku will have you do “To Netherwing Ledge!” which will have you collecting Nethervine Crystals. Next, comes “The Force of Neltharaku” which will have you rescuing Netherwing Drakes in Dragonmaw Fortress. After this quest, you will get “Karynaku”, which requires you to speak with Karynaku inside Dragonmaw Fortress. Karynaku will send you to “Zuluhed the Whacked”.

This quest is a group quest that will require at least 4 good players, if not 5, to complete. (Beware his Rain of Fire spell, as it does a ton of damage to anyone in the group, as well as the demon who spawns from the portal. You can move Zuluhed to another room to avoid this.) Once you complete this quest, you will get “Ally of the Netherwing”. You return to Mordenai and turn this in, gaining 42,000 reputation points and put you with neutral with Netherwing.

The first of the daily quests is the “Netherwing Crystals” which has you collect 40 Netherwing Crystals each day for the reputation points. The second of the daily quests will depend on your gathering skill: “Nethermine Flayer Hide” if you are a skinner, “Nethercite Ore” if you are a miner, or “Netherdust Pollen” if you are an herbalist.

The next batch of daily quests comes from Yarzill the Merc. He has two quests that are daily quests, and one that isn't. The first quest he will give you is “A Slow Death”, which is one of the daily quests. During this quest, you'll have to go and gather Fel Glands that will be used with Yarzill's Mutton.

These glands drop off Felboars, Vilewing Chimaera, Felfire Diemetradon, and several other mobs in the area. Sometimes the peons you try to poison with the glands won't take it, so it's a good idea that you get more than the original 12 so you can do all of the poisoning at once.

The next daily quest that he gives you is “The Not-So-Friendly Skies”, and you will gather 10 Netherwing Relics for this one. The last quest that he'll give you is “The Great Netherwing Egg Hunt” and this one isn't a daily quest. But, the eggs have a very low drop rate, so this quest takes forever to do and repeat, so it isn't feasible that you will be able to do it more than once a day or two.

But, these quests will get you to friendly with Netherwing, and once you hit that reputation level with them, there are a lot more quests to do. Friendly is about the halfway point to Exalted with Netherwing, and you know which daily quests you can do to help up your reputation points every day you log on.

From friendly to honored: When you get to friendly with Netherwing you will get an awesome combat pet to help you with your quests until you hit exalted. The good thing is that this pet can be used to tank for you and you can shoot or cast without damage, but the bad thing is that this pet can only be used in Shadowmoon Valley.

The first quest that you get after you hit friendly is from Taskmaster Varkule Dragonbreath on Netherwing Ledge, and it's called “Rise, Overseer!”, and it sends you to Overlord Mor'ghor. Mor'ghor will give you “The Netherwing Mines” where you'll find the Mistress of the Mines on Netherwing Ledge. Follow the paths to the very bottom western part of Netherwing Ledge to find her and complete this quest.

She will give you “Picking up the Pieces”, which is a daily quest as well. This quest will have you get 15 Netherwing cargo crates which you will find all over the mine. You will also meet the Dragonmaw Foreman who is next to the Mistress of the Mines and he will give you another daily quest that is called “Dragons are the Least of Our Problems”. This daily quest will have you kill 5 Nethermine Ravagers and 15 Nethermine Flayers. These two daily quests can be done together to finish them faster.

You can also get another quest line that will give you Netherwing reputation points as well, which is the Murkblood quest line. The very first quest that you'll get with this line is “Ronag the Slave Drive” and you will have to kill Crazed Murkblood Miners. Once this one is done, you'll get “The Great Murkblood Revolt” which will lead you back to the Mistress of the Mine.
After this one, the last part is called “Seeker of Truth” where you have to kill a Murkblood Overseer, who is found on the northern side of the ledge. Then, it's back to the Mistress once more.

After all of these are completed, you will seek out Chief Overseer Mudlump, who will give you “Overseeing and You: Making the Right Choices”. You'll have to bring him 10 Knothide Leathers and 1 Hardened Hide of Tyrantus. If you aren't a skinner, you can purchase the leathers on the AH, and you'll find Tyrantus in Netherstorm. He is about at the very farthest point north there, so head to Stormspire and go north.

After this quest, you'll get the next daily quest for Netherwing reputation, “The Booterang: A Cure for the Common Worthless Peon”. This is one daily quest that you'll like doing, since you pretty much get to hit the peons on the head to make them go back to work. By doing these quests, and the daily ones, you will get to honored pretty fast.

From honored to revered: Head to Taskmaster Varkule and he'll give you “Stand Tall, Captain!”, which will send you again to Overlord Mor'ghor, who will then give you “Captain's Badge”. This is the trinket that you'll use to summon your combat pet that was mentioned earlier. You'll also get “Disrupting the Twilight Portal” which is also a daily quest, and will have you kill 20 Deathshadow Agents. After you turn this quest in, you'll need to find Illidari Lord Balthas, who will be the next quest giver for Netherwing.

You will find Illidari Lord Balthas on Netherwing Ledge, by the other quest givers that you've already spoken to. He'll give you “The Soul Cannon of Reth'hedron”. This quest will require you to get 2 Felsteel Bars, 1 Adamantite Frame, 1 Khorium Power Core, and 1 Flawless Arcane Essence. Most of these mats are fairly easy to get, except for the Flawless Arcane Essence. To get the essence, you'll need to visit Sar'this in Terokkar Forest just north of the Bone Wastes by the mountains.

He'll give you a quest that will have you kill elementals around the area, and will also give you the essence you need. After you turn in “The Soul Cannon of Reth'hedron”, you'll get “Subdue the Subduer”. You will use the Soul Cannon on Reth'hedron the Subduer up on Twilight Ridge, and west of Forge Camp: Hate.

Now comes the fun part of the Netherwing reputation grinding! You get to start doing the flying mount racing quests, which consists of 7 different quests. The first 6 give you 500 reputation points each, and the last gives you 1000 as well as a trinket that gives you 10% faster mount speed: the Skybreaker Whip. The first quest you'll get is called “Earning Your Wings”, and the rest are called “Dragonmaw Races”, which have you race against 6 other npc's.

From revered to exalted: Now that you are revered with Netherwing, you can begin the quests that will take you to exalted and to your Netherdrake. Find Taskmaster Varkule once more, because he'll upgrade your combat pet's trinket when you do “Hail, Commander!”. Turn this in to Mor'ghor, and he'll give you “Kill Them All!” For this quest, all you'll need to do is to turn in some news of your mission and the Dragonmaw Flare Gun to either Anchorite Ceyla at the Altar of Sha'tar (for Aldor alligned players) or Arcanist Thelis at the Sanctum of the Stars in Shadowmoon Valley (for Scryer alligned players).

You will then get the last of the daily quests, which is “The Deadliest Trap Ever Laid”, where you'll have to defend your Aldor or Scryer base from the Dragonmaw Skybreakers. You can solo this if you have healing abilities, but it's always a good idea to have a group with you when you start this one. From here, you continue to do this daily quest until you hit exalted.

Remember that by doing the daily quests each day, you'll be on your way to getting your Netherdrake faster than if you can only do them every week or so. As you do them, make a note of the ones that give you the most reputation points so you can be sure to do those each day to gain more points.

When you finally get to the point to choose your Netherdrake, you will be flown back to Shattrath City and you will receive your first Netherdrake for the huge price of FREE. The Netherdrakes you want after the first one will cost you 200 gold and will give you a 280% flight speed increase upon your ground mounts. There are several different colors of Netherdrakes to choose from: purple, onxy, violet, cobalt, azure, and veridian. So, good luck on your questing and have fun with your Netherdrake!

World of Warcraft Reputation Guide for Scryer

When you finally hit that coveted level 60 mark and head into the Outlands, you will need to decide which order you should align yourself with: Aldor or Scryer. For those who choose to go with Scryer, the main perks of aligning your character with them is the added critical strike rating once you gain enough reputation with them.

Just like with Aldor, you will be doing quests that will have you gathering certain items, such as tokens, and helping the Scryers with their quests in Nagrand, the Terokkar Forest, and the Blade's Edge Mountains.

The Scryers are an ancient order of blood elves, led by Voren'thal the Seer, who live in Shattrath City. This group detached from Prince Kael'thas and instead, gave their assistance to the Naaru at Shattrath City, keeping them at war with the Aldor. They are in a constant struggle for power in Shattrath City against the Aldor and are trying to win favor with the Naaru.

In the beginning, any player that is already a blood elf will automatically be friendly with the Scryers and hostile with the Aldor, just as draenei players will be friendly with the Aldor and hostile with the Scryers. Of course, this can be changed by doing quests for either side. Once you have completed the “City of Light” quest, you will be given the choice of which side to align your player with. Once you have aligned your character with Scryer and begin doing quests for reputation points with them, you can begin to turn in epic armor tokens for Tier 4 and 5 gear to either Veynna Dawnstar (the Keeper of Sha'tari Heirlooms) or Arodis Sunblade (the Keeper of Sha'tari Artifacts) who are both located in the Seer's Library in the Scryer's Tier.

The first quest that you should get and do when you are trying to align with the Scryers is “Allegiance to the Scryers”. This one quest will increase your reputation with them by 3,500 points, which brings you to friendly with them. After this, you can start the other quests that will allow you to turn in different signets for reputation points.

Start by doing any quest that you are given to raise your reputation with the Scryers. Once you have completed the first quests, you will get several daily quests that you can do each and every day to continue to raise your reputation. Some of these quest will have you turn in Firewing Signets, Arcane Tomes, and Sunfury Signets for reputation points with the Scryers, as well as other things, such as Dampscale Basilisk Eyes.

To get from friendly to honored, you'll have to turn in 22 Firewing Signets 10 times, for honored to revered, you will have to turn in 48 Sunfury Signets 10 times, and for revered to exalted, you will have to turn in 84 Sunfury Signets 10 times. With the signet turn in quests, along with the other daily quest, you can earn a lot of reputation points each day. If you continue to turn in these signets while you are doing the daily quests, you'll hit exalted in no time with the Scryers.

To grind for the Firewing signets, you can head to Firewing Point in the Terokkar Forest, which is east of Shattrath City. All you have to do is follow the road out through Tuurem and then you take a path north that will lead you right to Firewing Point.

You can grind for these and turn them in until you are friendly with the Scryers (if you didn't do “Allegiance to the Scryers”), but once you're friendly with them, you can't use them any more to up your reputation points.

Once you hit friendly, then you can head to Netherstorm to an area called Manaforge B'naar.
This camp is also really easy to get to, as all you do is follow the road west out of Area 52, and you'll run right into it.

This is the area to grind for Sunfury Signets which will raise your reputation points with the Scryers until you are exalted. But, these only have around a 30% drop rate, about the same as the Firewing Signets. You can also get Arcane Tomes and Arcane Runes here that you can also turn in for items from the Scryer's Quartermaster, so it isn't a total waste to grind here a bit each day.

There are also several quest chains that you can get and do that will have you speak to certain people or gather items and take them to other people. These are fairly easy, and you can blow through these fast, but none are repeatable, so you only get the reputation points for them once. For players who have already aligned themselves with Aldor and are trying to switch, you can get “Vorenthal's Visions” from Arcanist Adryia, which will give you reputation points with Scryer and then lead you to the repeatable quest from her, “More Basilisk Eyes”.

The Scryers also have inscriptions that are like enchants that go on your shoulders. These can be used by anyone, any faction, once you have the reputation with the Scryers to buy them. But, they are BOP so make sure that you have the reputation to get them, and that you actually want that inscription before you get it. While Aldor adds additional damage and healing, Scryer adds more critical strike rating. For tanks, hunters, and players that want to do more damage outright, then Aldor is the way to go. But, for casters or others that are more concerned with just more power, Scryer is the way to go. Either way, players should always look at what each side has to offer and then pick the one that is the best for what they envision their character to be when all is said and done.

Here is a list of available inscriptions that the Scryers offer players who align themselves with them:

Greater Inscription of the Blade = this inscription will add +15 critical strike rating and +20 attack power to your shoulder item. This inscription doesn't stack on any other shoulder enchants or inscriptions.

Greater Inscription of the Knight = this inscription will add +15 defense rating and +10 dodge rating to your shoulder item. This doesn't stack on any other enchantments on the shoulders either.

Greater Inscription of the Oracle = this will give you +6 mana per second and up to +22 healing on your shoulder item. But, it doesn't stack on any other enchantment or inscription either.
Greater Inscription of the Orb = this one adds +15 spell critical strike rating and up to +12 spell damage to any shoulder item. And, it doesn't stack either.

These are just the lesser enchantments that you can get for your shoulders, and aren't really what you should base your decision on, but they will give you an idea of what type of inscriptions you can get from the Scryers. Remember that the Aldor inscriptions will give you more attack power, spell damage, and dodge ratings, which the Scryer inscriptions will give you more critical strike, MP5, and defense ratings.

There are other areas to consider before you chose Aldor or Scryer, such as what your professions are. Both of these orders will sell recipes for “spellthread” for those who are tailors and leatherworkers. But, each order will sell a different type of spellthread recipe. For the tailors, Aldors will sell the Golden Spellthread recipes, which give 51 healing and 18 stamina to items, while Scryer will sell Mystic Spellthread which give 25 spell damage and 15 stamina to items.

The good thing is that these recipes and the spellthread that they make aren't bind on pickup, so if you don't have a Scryer tailor in your guild, you can search out one and be able to use your mats and other items. For the leatherworkers, Aldor will offer a Vindicator's Armor Kit, which adds 8 defense ratings on chest, hands, legs, or feet, while Scryer will offer a Magister's Armor Kit that adds 3 mana every 5 seconds to chest, hands, legs, or feet. These aren't bind on pickup either, so you can trade them easily.

If you are a blacksmith, Aldor offers a fire resistance gear while the Scryers offer Arcane resistance gear. For alchemists, there really isn't that much either side can offer you, except that the Scryers offer a recipe for a potion that will give 65 fire damage for an hour. Jewelcrafters have it made, as both sides offer a couple of gem recipes that are awesome.

Hopefully, this will give you enough information to base your decision off of, when you are ready to start aligning your characters with either Scryer or Aldor.

World of Warcraft Reputation Guide for Aldor

When you finally hit that coveted level 60 mark and head into the Outlands, you will need to decide which order you should align yourself with: Aldor or Scryer. Formed by an ancient order of Draenei Priests, the Aldor continue to revere the Naaru, who are known as the Sha'tar, and continue to help them in their war against the Illidan and the Burning Legion.

You will find the Aldor mainly in Shadowmoon Valley and Shattrath City, where their holy temple sits atop Aldor Rise, watching over the city from their western perch.

The Aldors have been enemies with the blood elves, who became known as the Scryers, but have set aside their war for the Sha'tar, for now.

Since the Aldor is an ancient order, almost every player will start out as neutral with them, but most Blood Elf players will start out hostile with them and friendly to the Scryers, where Draenei players will start out friendly with Aldor and hostile to Scryers.

To begin your quest for raising your reputation with the Aldors, you need to find Khadgar in Shattrath City, where you will get the first quest for either the Aldors or the Scryers. Don't worry – if you make your pick and decide later that you want to change, the choice is reversible. When you begin to earn your reputation with the Aldor, you'll find that your reputation with the Scryers will decrease by 10% each time you gain with Aldor, and most of your reputation with the Sha'tar will gain 50% when you gain with Aldor.

Start off with the quests that will get you honored quickly with Aldor, such as the repeatable quests. These are quests that you can get over and over again to continually raise your reputation with them. A few of the quests that you should undertake while you are gaining your “honored” title, are: turning in 10 Mark of Kil'jaeden in Aldor Rise to Adyen the Lightwarden. This will give you a 250 reputation with Aldor.

You can also get a repeatable quest by turning in single Mark of Kil'jaeden's for 25 reputation points each. These marks drop off the lower ranking Burning Legion that are found all over the Outlands, such as in the two camps north of Auchindoun in Terrokar Forest. To get from friendly to honored by gathering these marks, you'll need to get around 240. These will also raise your reputation with Sha'tar as well, and players who want to raise reputations with Mag'har or Kurenai can kill orcs instead at Kil'Sorrow Fortress in Nagrand.

Once you hit honored status with Aldor, you can then move on to other quests that will earn you the exalted title. When you hit level 68, you can turn in Mark of Sargeras at the same rates that you turned in Mark of Kil'jaeden for reputation with Aldor. These marks drop from higher-ranking Burning Legion and require about the same to raise your reputation with Aldor to exalted. You can also turn these in before you hit honored status for a larger rise in reputation with Aldor.

You'll be able to get a great number of these marks by grinding away in Death's Door in Blade's Edge Mountains, since this seems to be the place where most of these mobs congregate and drop these constantly. When you run the raid instances for Aldor and kill the bosses at the end, you will earn tokens that you can trade in for epic gear. (For example, you can change in epic armor tokens for Tier 4 and Tier 5 gear with Asuur and Kelara in the Shrine of Unending Light on Aldor Rise.)

Another way to hit exalted with Aldor is to turn in Fel Armaments to Ishanah in the Shrine of Unending Light on Aldor Rise. Each Fel Armament that you turn in will give you 350 reputation points, and gain you Holy Dust, which you can trade in for shoulder enchants in the Aldor Bank from Inscriber Saalyn.

When you begin to turn in items for inscriptions, you need to make sure that you are with Aldor to gain their enchants for your shoulders. It doesn't matter what your toon is, although some will have a hard time with certain orders, as these inscriptions can be used by any player.

But, they are all bind on pickup, so you have to be aligned with that order and have the reputation with that specific faction to buy them.

With Aldor, you'll find that their enchants add additional healing or damage over the critical strike rating, which the Scryer will add more critical strike rating over healing or damage. So, for most PvE players, hunters, tanks, and pretty much anyone who want more outright damage from their toon, Aldor is the best one to align with. For PvP players looking for great enchants and more critical strike damage, Scryer is the best one to align with. But, you should look over what both sides can offer your toon and then decide which is the best to go with.

Here are some of the inscriptions that Aldor offers to players that align with them:
Greater Inscription of Faith = this inscription permanently adds up to 33 healing and 4 mana per second to any shoulder item. But, it doesn't stack on other enchantments for the shoulders.
Greater Inscription of Discipline = this inscription permanently adds up to 18 spell damage and healing as well as 10 critical strike rating for spells to a shoulder item. This one doesn't stack either on other shoulder enchants.

Greater Inscription of Warding = this inscription permanently adds 15 dodge rating and 10 defense rating to any shoulder item. But, it also doesn't stack with other shoulder enchants.
Greater Inscription of Vengeance = this inscription permanently adds 30 attack power and 10 critical strike rating to any shoulder item. It also doesn't stack with other enchants.

Of course, there are lesser enchants, but they aren't really worth enough to completely base your opinion of each side on. Just remember that Aldor enchants will contain mostly attack power, spell damage, and dodge ratings while Scryer enchants will contain mostly the critical strike, MP5, and defense ratings.

There are other areas to consider before you chose Aldor or Scryer, such as what your professions are. WoW Tips - World of Warcraft Hints and Tips

This guide will give you a very basic run down of 7 of the most important WoW tips you can learn for a new player. It will help you get a lot more out of your play time.

#1. Make sure you autoloot everything you see as the grey items which look like they won't benefit you but you can always sell to make some gold by selling them to the vendor. An easy way to autoloot everything is to go into your WoW settings and check the box that says "Turn on autoloot". That way you can just right click and it will automatically pick up everything at once.
#2. Whenever you are in a new town or area pick up all the quests that you possibly can and do them all at once instead of trying to do them one at a time. This will help you out so much and will make leveling a lot faster.

#3. Get used to doing instances. By the time you hit 70 you will want to already be good at getting groups together for all the 5 man instances. Best time to start on your grouping skills is ASAP. Lowbie instances can be fun and give you some practice that you would need.

#4. Know your class. This may seem like an easy one but more often than not it really isn't. You will want to take the time to research and understand your class completely by the time you hit level 70. This is especially true on a PvP server.

#5. Make friends in-game as soon as possible. It is always more fun to do group stuff with friends and then you won't have to worry about people ninja looting items from bosses in instances. This can be dangerous to some as well since it makes you want to play more often and can sometimes lead to World of Warcraft addiction.

#6. Get two gathering professions at the beginning. That way you can sell items such as copper ore, etc. and make tons of gold that will help you along the way through your leveling and so you will always have enough gold to learn new spells/abilities as well as your mount.

#7. Get famaliar with WoW addons and macros. These will ultimately help save you tons of time and with doing repetative tasks. Also when you hit level 70 you will have to have some macros for raiding. It just makes great sense to use them and know how to use them ASAP.

You can find the latest addons here, and the site does a great job of ensuring that all the addons are the latest editions and will work with new patches that Blizzard has put out for the game. You'll find a complete breakdown of all the great things that each addon does for your toons, as well as how to set it up and instructions on using the addon. You can't go wrong with this site as they provide so much information that your brain will be on overload.

There are hundreds of addon sites on the web today and if you don't find what you are looking for with these sites, you can continue to search out some of the other addon sites. Remember that there are both new and old versions of most addons, and you want to make sure that you have the most up-to-date versions to ensure that they work properly with World of Warcraft's patches that are put out each week.

There are also some addons that Blizzard doesn't like, as they consider some of them cheating, and they will ban your account for these. Most of the addon sites will tell you up front if Blizzard doesn't like these, since it doesn't do them or their site any good to get your account banned. So, if a site tells you that an addon isn't liked by Blizzard, it's best not to download it.

Also, last but not least you must pay attention to the site where you are downloading your addons from since some players make addons or implement code into an existing addon that is used to steal your account. World of Warcraft Private Server Guide

This guide is very helpful if you have ever wondered how people get to play World of Warcraft on a private server. Doing this will can also let you play as a GM if you know the person hosting the private server. I just found this on the internet and I have not tried it. Also, I am not responsible for the information contained in this guide and use at your own risk. With that said...here is the guide!

Have you ever wondered how you could solo MC or BWL? How about have a godly character that nothing can defeat? So... Now that I've caught your attention, I will explain how to connect to one of many WoW private servers!

1. Rename your World of Warcraft folder to anything else, for example wowow, something you won't forget is your World of Warcraft folder. For Windows users you'll find the folder "World of Warcraft" in C:\Program Files.

2. Install the World of Warcraft (again). The installer will ask you where you want to place World of Warcraft. The default is installed into C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft, but instead rename it to C:\Program Files\PrivateServerWoW (or anything else). Also, don't have it send an icon to the desktop.

3. Once you've installed World of Warcraft, DO NOT connect to the server!!! If you do this, WoW will update your game version to 1.9.0, and we don't want this! Instead, download the 1.8.0 full patch. you can download it here: FileFront

4. Run the 1.8.0 installation files and have it be installed to the Wow Private Server folder. (If it doesn't let you choose where to install it, it will automatically install in your private server folder).

5. This part is semi-optional. Just depends on if you want to have the Ahn-Qiraj stuff available in the Private Server. If you want to connect to a 1.9.0 hack server, you can download the 1.9.0 EMU patch (this is NOT the same as Blizzard's and using Blizzard's 1.9.0 will result in not being able to connect to the private server.) You can download the 1.9.0 emu patch HERE. Install the patch into your Private WoW server folder.

6. If you installed the 1.9.0 emu hack, go to your WoW private server folder and then inside the folder go to DATA, then to DBFilesClient. in the DBFilesClient folder DELETE the item "Spell.dbc." If you don't delete this, WoW will NOT work. However if you didn't install the 1.9.0 emu hack, you won't have to delete anything.

7. Now on to finding a private server to connect to. I find most of my servers at http://wowstatus.net/serverlist.php but you can find them elsewhere by doing a search. There, you'll find a list of private servers. If you want to play on a server with high XP rates and gold/item rates, choose a funserver (under the XP rate column). Click on the server's name to go to the info page. You can only play on servers that have 1.8.0, 1.8.1, 1.8.2, or 1.9.0 hack (which is really almost all servers).

8. To play on the server, you must make an account. Now click on the Account Signup page to register for that particular server. Most register sites will look like a login screen. Just type your desired username and password to sign up!

9. Once you're signed up for that particular server, you'll need to find the server's address. Go back to the server's info page, and you'll find the server's address In the row labeled "Server Address" (duh ).

10. Once you've found the server address, go back to your WoW Private Server Folder, and find a file called "Realmlist.wtf" It's in the regular WoW private server folder, NOT in the WTF folder. Click on the Realmlist.wtf to open it. For most, it will ask you what program you want to open it with. For window's users, choose notepad. Once opened you'll see, [ set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com ] or [ set realmlist eu.logon.worldofwarcraft.com ] depending on which version you play. Now change the address to the private server you chose. (for example [ set realmlist xxx.xxx.xxx ]) Once you've done that, SAVE the file!

11. Now in the private server folder, click on the WoW icon (or WoW190 if you installed the 1.9.0 hack) and you're on! Login as usual! (you can play on 1.9.0 hack servers with just 1.8.0... but you wont be able to access the new stuff).
Things you should know before playing...

1. You CAN'T connect to any private servers by simply just altering your usual WoW realmlist.wtf file.

2. A lot of servers will have high latency! Heck, they're just FREE servers set up by regular people.

3. When you login to the server and you get connected...or even to the select character page, and you then you automatically get disconnected...it means the SERVER IS FULL. Just keep trying to reconnect until you get through.

4. Every 10-60 min, the server will do a "World Save." When that happens, you will lag for about 10 sec. Nothing to worry about, though!

Cool Stuff
1. A lot of good servers will have a level cap of 255! Yes...lvl 255!

2. Most servers have high MP and HP regen!

3. Some servers, any class/race can wield any weapon/armor!

4. If you're nice to a GM, they may transport you to the famous, GM Island .

5. Some servers have custom mounts! For example you can ride a hyppogrif, gryphon, wyvern, or even a dragon! (Normally requires being nice to GMs to get the dragon ).

6. Some servers have custom armors/weapons. On one server I play, I duel wield 2 swords that do 9,999 dps....EACH. (major MC pwnage).

7. Most servers have NPC venders for epic quality items for less than 10g each.

8. For those who aren't interested in pwning high lvl mobs that'd take an entire raid in normal WoW, try out classes you've always wanted to mess around with. On high xp servers, you can get to 60 within 30 min - an hour.

9. Most of the time, gold is plentiful! Or if gold isn't... mobs will always drop SEVERAL uncommon/common/epic depending on mob level.

10. If you notice you're not getting a TON of xp from killing mobs... do quests... some servers have uber high quest reward xp.

World of Warcraft Farming Spots

If you are like me you have many times wondered where the best location would be to farm for certain items. Here I have compiled a list of different locations where I have found to be the best to farm for items at. If you can add anything please let me know either by e-mailing webmaster [at] freewarcraftguides [dot] com.

Black diamond-These drop from mobs in BRD. Each is worth loads because they are used in libram enchants and also the zg enchant. Worth around 50 times more than the blue version.
Black lotus-This is a very rare herb which sells for quite a lot. Found in Winterpsring near the blue dragons cave, Mezthoril. Also found in Badlands, Silithus and Eastern Plaguelands.

Blood of the mountain-These are mined from Dark Iron nodes in Searing Gorge, Burning Steppes, BRD and MC. Used in a quest, high end professions. These sell very well.

Dark Runes-Drop from most mobs in scholo. Very useful for casters but are also used in crafting so are very expensive and needed by most people.

Deviate Fish-These are fishable in the Barrens in Wailing Caverns. You do not have to go inside the Wailing Caverns instance to catch Deviates. They can be caught in any of the pools inside the Caverns before you get to the instance.-The fish can also be caught in Lushwater Oasis, immediately south of the Caverns and in the Stagnant Oasis, south of the Crossroads/Ratchet road. Furthermore there will now occasionally be schools of Deviates so your drop rate is 100% if your cast lands within the swirl indicating the school.

Essence of Air-Elementals in North West Silithus. No mobs actually have a high drop rate of this and these are all non elite and very easy to kill. Make sure you are killing the air elementals not the rock ones which do not drop it. Also they drop breath of wind etc which can be sold or used.

Essence of Earth-These can be farmed in northwest Silithus in the far corner. Also these drop from Stone Guardians in Un'Goro but those are harder to kill because they are elites.

Essence of Fire-Elementals in Un’Goro crater, Fire Plume ridge. I'm not sure but I bet this is one of the best places to farm for this.

Essence of Undeath-I'm not too sure about these but have heard they have a high drop rate in Scholo and Strat.

Essence of Water-Elementals in Felwood, Iron Tree woods. These have a high drop rate I believe and there is normally somebody farming them but they have a good respawn rate so no waiting.

Felcloth-These drops from demons in Felwood and Azshara, also from demons in Dire Maul.

Current price on my server is anywhere between 1.5 gold and 3 gold a piece. These mobs also have a very high drop rate of runecloth and are camped by gold farmers or used to be I believe.
Ghost mushrooms-These are used in making a dye which is used in crafting. These are found in Feralas, Maraudon, Hinterlands and also drop of Tar Lords in Un'Goro.

Guardian Stones-Drop from the elite guardians wandering around Un'goro. Though they are 61 Elites, they are extremely slow and soloable by most 60s. Stones are used in Cloak of Warding and sell for 3.5-5 gold a piece Heart of fire-Drop from elementals above level 45. Easily farmed from demons in North Felwood and also elementals in Un'Goro Crater.

Ichor of Undeath-These drop from most undead mobs over level 50 (Eastern Plaguelands, Western Plaguelands, Azshara's lingering highbourne, Scholo, Strat, etc.). Used in a few patterns, most notably the new shard bags.

Incendosaur scales-From beasts of the same name in searing gorge. Do not need to be skinned are just dropped. These are used to get up reputation for Thorium Brotherhood. These can also be sold for a high price.

Larval acid-These drop from the grubs in Eastern Plaguelands at around 5% rate and sells for 8-10 gold a piece.-Carrion Spawns/Devourers in Eastern Plaguelands and Western Plaguelands.
Linen Cloth-Westfall is the best area for this. You can either clear out the mines or go kill some of the other humanoids. Simple yet effective!

Living Essence-Tar elementals in Un'goro drop occasionally - better drop rates are found on the plants in DM East and West (Lashes in East, trees in west), sell for 8-10 gold each. Very rare as they are needed for Hide of the Wild.

Mageweave-Most mobs in Tanaris drop a decent amount of this. Either the trolls who occupy the ruins or the humans that are called wastewanders (not the pirates).-Deadwood furbolgs in Felwood. These are also farmed for rep with Timbermaw furbolgs so you can kill two birds with one stone.

Powerful Mojo-Drop from trolls which are over lvl 55. Drop from elite trolls in ZG and also from undead trolls in Western Plaguelands. The Undead trolls are called Mossflayers. Used in profesions.

Primal Tiger Leather-Skinned from tigers in ZG. These are not farmable except for in a ZG raid group.

Righteous Orbs-These drop from humanoids i.e. scarlet soldiers etc in a stratholme scarlet run. Used in enchants and are very expensive. They also they drop off of Scarlet Elite's(that’s the name of the mob). They are in Western Plaguelands above the lumber camp.

Rugged Leather-Yetis in Winterspring are easily the best. Southeast of Everlook in the ice thistle hills region are humanoids around level 53 which are skinnable. They do not drop cloth but many people kill them for a quest and are not skinners. So you can kill them loot some cash and skin them and also skin the mobs killed by others.

Runecloth-Mobs in Tyr's Hand. These are mainly elite humanoids who are level 54. These can be killed easily by level 60s. Also these are very good for just farming gold as they are humans.-Furbolgs in Winterspring. These are due east of Everlook and very easy to kill. Non elites so anybody can kill them. If you’re a mage its heaven just AOE and you can get a lot of runecloth.-Ogres in Deadwind Pass. Like furbolgs they are non-elite but have more health. I would say that the furbolgs would be easier to kill.

Shadowcat Hides-Skinned from Shadow Mars in Stranglethorn Vale and Swamp of Sorrows.
Silithis Chitin-These are skinned from elites in Silithus. They can be vendored for 2 gold a stack. Also the elites drop an item for reputation with the bronze dragons and greys. Also when skinned they can drop a grey which is worth 1 gold for a stack of 20.

Silk Cloth-Soloing SM is the best way due to the fact you get a lot of silk on 1 mob and money drops are decent. Also you can get the scarlet sets which sell very well and junk items can be vendored for money or disenchanted if you prefer.-Killing harpies in Thousand Needles is another great way. They are not elite and don't have a whole lot of hit points so they can be easily killed by lower levels as they are level 28-30. They also drop Vibrant Plumes which can sell for around 80 silver per stack.

Spider silk-These drop from Spiders in Stonetalon Mountains. Mainly around the entrance and exit of Deep talonpath which is the path to Ashenvale. They are around level 25 I believe.

Stonescale Eels-Any high level coastal spot in Kalimdor (Tanaris, Feralas, Azshara) gives Stonescale Eels, which consistently sell for 1 gold or more each. However, please note the time of day, sometimes, you won't see anything and other times you will have excellent results. I have experienced better results with this late at night.

Thick Leather-Most beasts which are skinnable in The Hinterlands drop thick leather when skinned. As mostly around level 49 they are easily farmable by 50s and 60s. Also you can get leather by skinning yetis which drop some as well.

Turtle Scales-Skinned from any turtles. These can be found near Steamwheel Port, in the Hinterlands, Tanaris and in Hillsbrad Foothills. Used in Leatherworking.

Volatile Rum-You can farm these at the pirate cave in Tanaris. It's a great leveling spot also!

World of Warcraft Darkmoon Fair Guide

The Darkmoon Fair is just another fun thing to do in World of Warcraft. Mostly just fun and games but is there anything profitable that can come from it? This guide covers not only what the Darkmoon Fair itself is but also some profitable items that can come in handy for you!
The darkmoon fair comes to Mulgore or Elwyn forest once a month. There are no guards so it is possible to attend the other factions fair. THe muglore 1 is south west of Thunder Bluff while the Elwyn forest fair is next to Goldshire.

The fair comes with many fun and exciting options. You can exchange items for tickets which you can buy thigns with. You can use a massive cannon which fires you into the air a long way. You can buy extremely potent ale very cheaply. And last but not least you can give in Decks of cards scattered across Azeroth, to combine into an epic trinket.

The Epic Neck:

A good gear could mean Victory or Death when you fight someone or something (PvP, PvE, Grind, Instances).

For a “little” favor or whit a little work you can have an Epic Trinket!The “Male” classes could profit mostly (DD Warrior, DD Paladin, Rogues or Hunters too) from the First one:
Amulet of the Darkmoon:+10 Strength+19 Agility+10 Stamina

The second is Caster based (Maga, Priest, Paladins…)

Orb of the Darkmoon:+11 Stamina+8 SpiritEquip: Increases damage and healing done by magical spells and effects by up to 22.

I counted a little, and it comet out, That it can be “gathered” from 1 Gold 20 Silver – To ~190 Gold PLUS

"How To"
When Darkmoon Fiery event is active, you can complete Q-ts to obtain tickets. And that is what we need. The Q-ts are repeatable, and that’s our luck! The “cheapest” Q-t items what you can give down till you have the 1200 ticket is Thorium Widget! Is an Engineering

“component”.
1200 tickets = Epic Neck (one from above)The Q-ts are Profession based, but this can be tricked out!You will need a “Schematic: Thorium Widget” (Limited supply: 1G 20S by Vendors, 3G-10G+ at AH) If he knows it, even better for us

First: You need to find someone who has Engineering around lvl 260 (needed to create Thorium Widget-s) and tell him that you “pay” his Engineering skill to 300 if he helps you.
Now the numbers and the CountingsBy the turn ins, you could count so:6 Thorium Widget = 20 Darkmoon Fiery Ticket1200 Ticket needed -> 1200:20 = 60 (turn ins total)60*6 = 360 Thorium Widgets needed

Take 3 Thorium Bars + 1 Runecloth to create a WidgetSo we need:3 Thorium Bars * 360 Widgets = 1080 Thorium Bars (54 Stack)1 Runecloth * 360 Widgets = 360 Runecloth (18 Stack)
You can farm Runecloths at “Trys Hand” from humanoids, or from Stratholme, Solomance, etc. Or You can by everything from AH 1 Gold - 2 Gold / stack (at 1,5 gold -> 18stack*1,5= 27 Gold) 162 Gold+27 Gold1,2 Gold--------190,2 Gold

The Engineer makes the Widget (He levels up to 300 by the first 60-70), You turn in the Widgets, get the tickets and then “buy” your Neck. Everyone is Happy (I choused this one)
OR The other way:You can turn in: Rugged Armor Kit5 Rugged leather per Kit -> 8 Rugged Kit per turn in -> 40 Rugged Leather per turn in1200 tickets - 60 turn ins => 40 * 60 = 2400 Rugged Leather needed to this.480 Rugged Armor Kit needed in the end

You can farm it in Felwood, or in Winterspring (Guides to this you will find here somewhere ) Or Buy the Rugged leather in AH 1G-3G / stack (120 stack needed=> 120G-360G AND you need someone who can make it)

Or Buy the Rugged Armor Kits in AH 0,7G-2G+ (you will need 480! -> 336G-960G+ -> And when you BO all the Armor kit the price will go UP)

Ok here goes the one with dense stone:
SO you need 1200 tickets which = 60 x 20 hand ins AS the hand ins for Dense Stone are Grinding Stone you need 8 grinding stone for each hand in. Each Dense Grinding Stone requires 4 Dense Stone. Therefore = 4x8 for each hand in which equals 32 stone for 20 tickets So overall it equals for needed stone 60 x 32 This equals to 1920 Dense Stone

On my server Dense Stone is 2g but I’m sure it was a lot less when i bought all mine around 1g to 1g 50s. But I didn’t buy from AH as that is more expensive. But I’m using AH price which is around 2g.

So to find out the price you do 1920 divided by 20 then x 2This equals to 192g.

But this is AH price and I bought it from people who had a large supply and couldn’t sell them. SO try to find people who have a large amount of it as then you may get it for a cheaper price. Also try to be nice to people as that helps.

Also another good way to do this is to farm thorium and mithril as these nodes drop this stone. ALso you can use the thorium for the above ones or sell it to buy more.

BUt price variues on each server and i would advice trying to buy for around 1g 50s to 1g 80s. This makes the price around 175g.

Notes:
- The Tickets are Soulbound when you get them, so turn it in only whit your main Char. The widgets and the Armor kits are free to trade / mail.

- When you turn in the tickets by every turn, you gain +100 Repu, so at the end you will gain 5400 Reputation! (Whit the Widget Turn ins, but I don’t know the Rugged armor patches Repu per turnin)

- You will need a “store” character for all that stuff, if you don’t have one or to already, but his Bank must be Empty.

- CT or other “Mass Mail” mods are strongly recommended, to these massive item movements.

To the next part which is on the cards

The Card Decks:
Across the world, there are scared decks of cards. When given in these each give an epic trinket in return. THis is the stats of them:

There are four sets of card decks which can be turned in for trinket rewards. To collect a set you must find all eight cards for the deck. The aces are dropped only by certain elite bosses, and the remaining cards are blue (rare) drops off of Level 45-60 Undead and Humanoid mobs.

* Darkmoon Card: HeroismEquip: Sometimes heals bearer of 120 to 180 damage when attacking an enemy.
o Ace of Warlords - King Gordok (Dire Maul)o 2-8 of Warlords - Lvl 45-60 Undead & Humanoids

* Darkmoon Card: MaelstromEquip: Chance to strike your melee target with lightning for 200 to 300 Nature damage.
o Ace of Elementals - Hydrospawn, Lord Incendius, The Windreaver, Avalanchion (elite elementals)o 2-8 of Elementals - Lvl 45-60 Undead & Humanoids

* Darkmoon Card: Twisting NetherEquip: Gives the wearer a 10% chance of being able to resurrect with 20 health and mana.
o Ace of Portals - Darkmaster Gandling (Scholomance)o 2-8 of Portals - Lvl 45-60 Undead & Humanoids

* Darkmoon Card: Blue DragonEquip: 2% chance on successful spellcast to allow 100% of your Mana regeneration to continue while casting for 15 sec.
o Ace of Beasts - The Beast (Upper Blackrock Spire)o 2-8 of Beasts - Lvl 45-60 Undead & Humanoids

As you can see these cards can drop of many different types of mobs. It is just the aces which are hard to find. How ever the ace of elementals can be farmed by any level 60, its better with 2 as you can easily avoid the mobs. I did it as hunter with druid but i didnt even use feign death once. Each of these trinekts is extremely good and i am currently trying to find the caster ones. Unluckily they are also the rarest of them all so im finding it hard.

Tank Games:
This is the bit i like, cos im a child inside.... Ok what it is, is a little control which youc an use which then creates a tank. In SW 4 of them can fight at once not sure in mulgore. THey can only attack each other and its very fun. They are basically little toy cars which you control. Each have a rocket and a speed boost but they also have special abilities. Some have motars and others flame throwers and shields. Overall its a very nice little feature which i rather enjoy. Make a competion with your guild who ever wins gets a few gold or something.

Big Cannon
THis is situated to the east in Elywn forest and im not sure in the Mulgore one. How ever what each of them is send you flying with attached wings. Each shot makes you go the same way, each one over a pool of water with a target. You are meant to get in this by getting rid of your wings. You do this by right clicking them. See its not all for the high levels.

In mulgore if you do not do this you will die when you hit a tent. Not very nice, nice big repair bills for me. In elywn you manage to hit a tree if you dont take them of so no damage which is kinda wierd. Face first into a tree and no damage. hmmmm ^^

Jubling!
Basically this is a fat little toad which you can require. You have to be high level to obtain it. All you do is throw 1 Dark Iron Ale mugs, another is needed for later, near Morja and her JubJub will appear. These ales come from BRD but they are tradeable to get a unique pet. They come from the bar area and it normally starts a fight if you steal them. I am not sure if youc an buy them but clear the placee then take is a better idea. How ever, in the end Morja has a question mark over her ehad and talk to her and she will ask for another. Give to to her and she givers you a jubjub egg. This takes a week to hatch and then you can a truely rare and unique pet...
THE BEER!!!

From the drink salesman comes a very cheap beer. I stack up on his as it is the strongest ingame and also is extremely cheap. I make trips to mulgore just to get this on my ally characters. Well worth the journey in my opinion.

The new wow patch brought us another world holiday type event called the Midsummer Fire Festival. It seems to be pretty much a novelty quest line but can be fun also. World of Warcraft Warrior Guide To Understanding Threat

This guide originally appeared on the official World of Warcraft community forum. It is an older guide that I believe was last updated during the last week of January. With that being said, this guide is AWESOME! It's not only a fantastic guide for Warriors but for anyone that wants to know how threat truly ticks in this game.

This guide should be consider a "classic guide" and probably will later on. Some warriors after reading this guide were able to increase their warrior skills by 100%. That has been said quite a few times by quite a few players! Anyway, it is kinda long but here it is!

It's often said that we will never be able to work out the way threat and hate lists and mobs' AI works, because it's too complicated and unknowable, that we'll only ever have crude approximations and guesses. I've conducted some decent, rigorous tests, and i have what i believe is a good list of hate values and explanations of gaining and losing aggro and the behaviour of taunt. I am also able to debunk a few myths about how threat works.

1) Definitions
We define "aggro" to be who the mob is attacking. We define "threat" to be a numeric value that each mob has towards each player on it's hate list. Note, as we shall soon see, even for a normal mob, the target who has aggro is not necessarily the player on it's threat list with the most threat.
We define arbitratily that 1 point of unmodified damage gives 1 point of threat.

2) Gaining aggro on a mob Updated Jan 31
Suppose a mob is attacking player 1. In order for the mob to switch to player 2, he must do more than just exceed the threat of player 1. If he is in melee range of the mob, he will draw aggro when he exceeds 110% of player 1's threat. If he is outside melee range of the mob, he will draw aggro when he exceeds 130% of player 1's threat.

E.g. mob is attacking player x. x does 100 damage to mob, then stops. Player y starts hitting the mob. The mob will start attacking y when y does over 110 damage.

Proof: this is easy to demonstrate. Get two players both doing autoattack on a mob (not warriors of rogues; we'll see later they complicate things). Have player 1 do a certain amount of damage, then stop. Have player 2 keep attacking till he gets aggro. You have an upper and lower bound on the threat required to get aggro - 1 attack before he got aggro was not enough, but the attack that he got aggro was at least enough. With low damage attacks (i.e. fists only), you will get a very good value of 10%. Testing for the non-melee range value is the same. Just replace it with a low damage ability such as a low level wand.

If player 2 has exceeded 110% threat but not 130% threat, they will draw aggro immediately if they do a threat-generating ability within melee range of the mob, but proximity alone will not cause the mob to shift to them.

This is only a description of the normal mob targetting. Obviously there are mobs who will attack secondary targets with special abilities, ignoring their current threat / aggro.

3) Threat modifiers from Warrior Stances
In Battle Stance and Berserker Stance, all threat from a Warrior is multiplied by 80%. In defensive stance, the multiplier is 130%. With Defiance, it is 145%.

Proof: a simple modification of the above proof. Get a warrior to do, say, 1000 damage in defensive stance, without defiance. Get a non-warrior to take aggro with white damage. You will find it does not happen before 1430 damage. The warrior's 1000 damage caused 1300 threat in defensive stance, and the 10% barrier means you need more than 1430 to gain aggro.

4) Threat does not decay
Threat never, ever decays. Here is test data. Warrior does 83 damage on mob in battle stance, gains aggro. From above, we know it will take more than 83 * 0.8 * 1.1 = 73.04 threat to gain aggro. Warrior waits for 5 minutes getting beat on. Then mage starts attacking slowly. Mage does 73 damage, but does not gain aggro! Mage does another 2 damage, and does gain aggro. From the warrior's initial hit to losing aggro, the time taken was 496 seconds.

As an upper bound, assume maximal threat decay. i.e. the mage only needed 73.000000001 threat to gain aggro. Then the warrior's threat had decayed to 66.36363636, from 66.4. This means he went down to 99.945% threat in 496 seconds.

At this maximal rate of hate decay, the time taken for the warrior's threat to decay to 90% of the original value would be 26.5 hours. In fact, if a warrior logged in as soon as the server came online after the weekly reset and hit a mob, his threat would not decay to 50% before the server reset next week. I think this is enough to rule out threat decay.

5) Threat values for some warrior abilities Updated Jan 20
The following list is not exhaustive, but includes all the major tanking abilities.
Note: the following values are given in raw terms. In reality the warrior must have either a 1.3 or 0.8 or 1.45 modifier on these, depending on his stance and talents.

Note: * All abilities do not include threat generated by their damage. This will be discussed more later.
Sunder: 261 (260.95 - 261.15)Heroic Strike*: 145 (143.9 - 148.8)Revenge*: 315 (313.9 - 318.3)Revenge Stun: 25 (23.4 - 29.1)Shield Bash*: 180 (175.4 - 180.3)Shield Slam*: ?? 250 (estimated from Cop's data. Note that debuffs associated with abilities are not connected to the threat they generate. Demoralizing shout generates the same amount of threat whether the debuff is on or not. Sunder armor generates the same threat after 5 debuffs are on as when there are 0.

6) Healing, "you gain x ___", etc
Each point of healing, when completely unmodified by talents, gives 0.5 threat. Replace the proof for (2) by the second person only healing.

Note: overhealing doesn't count, only the actual amount healed. This is easy to demonstrate.
Abilities that put "you gain x mana" in the combat log give 0.5 threat per point gained; life is the same. Examples would be drinking potions, but not natural regen, or the Shaman's mana spring totem.

Abilities that put "you gain x rage" in the combat log give 5 threat per point gained. However, this is not modified by warrior stance. Such abilities include bloodrage, improved blocking talent, unbridled wrath, and 5/8 Might.
Like healing, these only give threat if you are below the maximum.

7) Explaining Cop's 4.0 damage to heal ratio
Cop stated that in his tests, each point of damage by the warrior took approximately 4 points of healing by the priest, for the priest to get aggro. Here's how:
Warrior in defensive stance, with defiance: 1.45 multiplierGaining aggro from Warrior: 1.1 multiplierPriest with discipline: 80% threatHealing: each point gives 0.5 threat
Together, 1.45 * 1.1 / 0.8 / 0.5 = 3.9875. Pretty darn close to 4.

8) Threat from pulling? Updated Jan 19
There is no threat associated with pulling. The smallest amouts of threat we could generate drew aggro from a body pull, no matter how long we waited after the pull. However, there are advantages to having the tank pull, as explained in the next secion.

9) Taunt Updated Jan 19

Casting taunt causes three effects.

A) The warrior is given as much threat as the person who currently has the mob's aggro. Obviously if the warrior has aggro, this will do nothing. Also, this effect will not lower the warriors threat. For example, if player 1 has 100 threat and aggro, a warrior could have 105 but not aggro; after taunt he would still be on 105 threat.

B) The mob recalculates its actual aggro target. If the warrior was on the mob's hatelist before the original aggro target, the mob's actual aggro target will switch to the warrior. Otherwise, the mob will remember it's original target.

C) The normal taunt debuff. The mob is forced to attack the warrior, even if the warrior is not its actual aggro target.

The threat that the warrior gains from (A) is permanent, regardless of the outcome of (B). Note that it will not necessarily give the warrior the equal highest threat on the mob. If player 1 has 100 threat and aggro, Player 2 has 109 threat but not aggro, and the warrior has 0 threat, then the warrior is given 100 threat, not 109, so he could easily lose aggro to Player 2 after taunting.

10) Implications Updated Jan 19. Updated Jan 21. Note this section is just my opinion.

a) Let the tank pull! Then he will be first on all the mobs' hatelists, and his taunts will always return aggro to him.

b) Given that targets at range will only draw aggro when they have more than 130% of the mob's target's current threat, it's important for a tank to keep the mobs well away from the casters. If a healer does draw aggro and you taunt it off him, make sure you also move it away.

c) Heroic Strike should not be used as a primary threat ability. Suppose you are tanking a level 62 mob. Let's give him 8,000 ac raw, and even assume he has 5 sunders stacked, for 5750 final ac, so he will take 48.89% of damage. A 15% crit rate is balanced by the 10% penalty to damage in defensive stance, and a 10% chance of a glancing blow chance for 50% damage. Then you can expect the 138 damage from Heroic Strike to contribute 67.5 damage on average, for a total of 212 unmodified threat. This is still only 82% of the threat a sunder would give. Even with a 1.3 speed weapon, you will still do 94% the threat of sunder per time interval.
Best practice is to spam sunder, and use HS in between to soak up excess rage.

d) Revenge ftw. You can expect to do about 345 unmodified threat with Revenge, including damage, against the mob in the example above, which is exceptional for the low rage cost, even throwing in 10 for a shield block. However, there is a rage cost of shield block, in that you will block more attacks, so take less damage, so gain less rage from damage. Two blocks for 180 damage and you can say goodbye to another 4 rage.

e) Demo Shout ftl. Demoralising shout does one sixth the threat of a sunder. Even spammed in defensive stance with defiance, you're doing no more threat than 42dps on each mob. Besides picking up whelps in Onyxia and tanking panthers in the Panther boss encounter in ZG, i can't see a compelling reason to use this.

f) Shield Slam ftl. Given the 6 second cooldown, there is no improvement in threat per second by using shield slam. With shield slam: 3 sunders and 1 shield slam every 6 seconds. About 212 threat per second, unmodified. With the 30 rage from the shield slam you can cast 1 sunder and about 1.2 heroic strikes, assuming you have the talents (which you would with any shield slam build), and are losing 3 rage per Heroic Strike from lost white damage rage (i.e. assuming 90 modified damage per hit). The 4 sunders and 1.2 heroic strikes every 6 seconds gives about 215 threat per second.

The only improvement is if you are spamming both sunder and HS, and want even more threat. Suppose we have a 2.0 speed weapon, HS spam and sunder spam. That's about 280 unmodified tps. Changing one sunder for a shield slam gives us 318 unmodified. However, the same effect would be achieved by changing to a 1.4 speed weapon and casting HS more often. And these values aren't taking into account autoattack damage, which makes the margins comparatively smaller.

g) There's no amazing super secret randomised blizzard aggro algorithm. The concepts are simple and the values can be fitted with nice numbers. Even formulas for threat-reducing knockbacks can conceivably be worked out, if threat values are carefully monitored.

WoW Warrior Guide To Being The Perfect Tank

For a warrior in the World of Warcraft, one of your most sought after skills will be as a tank with a group in an instance. There are many different dungeons and instance throughout the game, and you will constantly see people advertise for them, needing a tank, healer, and others to join them.

By making yourself a good tank, you will earn yourself many group invites to instances throughout your time as a WoW warrior. This, in turn, will earn you some great friends, great loot, and good killing fun.

To be a good tank, you first need to know how to handle your character in a fight. From the beginning of your toon to the end, you should know your best fighting tactics and you should be able to pick out the main mob to go for in a fight. During your training, you should be able to pick up weapons that will cause a lot of damage to a mob you are fighting and you should practice with it a lot to ensure that you know how to handle yourself when it comes to being in an instance.

Gather all the training that you can, all the spells and abilities, and any enchantments or special armor that will help you during your fighting.

When you are invited to be in a group, and you have the time to run the instance, you should go. It doesn't matter if you have run that particular instance before or not, the more experience that you have with any instance, the better you can do overall in the game. If you aren't familiar with that particular instance, ask your friends or guild members who have been there for any tips or advice that they can give you. You can also check with some of the World of Warcraft websites that show quest information and give advice on different areas of the game.

Meet with your party and greet them all warmly, after all, they will be covering your behind while you are in the middle of the mobs. Ask politely for any buffs that will help you, or anything else that your group members can do or provide (such as potions or enchantments) that will allow you to be a better tank. Make sure that you make friends with the group healer, as they can be the difference in your run from a graveyard or a resurrection if you die.

Remember that you are the rock of the group. Others in the group will include a mix of healers, warlocks, hunters, rogues, and so on, and most will be casters.

Casters are usually physically weaker than warriors or hunters, and you should try your best to protect them by keeping the mobs on you, while they pick them off from a distance. Some group members, such as warlocks and hunters, will have minions or pets that will help tank. This can be great, especially if you are charging a large group of mobs and you know that you will be overwhelmed alone.

Mark the targets with different symbols for each different minion or pet, so your group members will know which ones to attack. If you aren't the group leader, ask them to do it for you so all of the tanks know where to go.

Once you are in the instance, you should be in the lead. If you don't know where you are going, and someone else does, let them lead, but stay right with them. When you see a mob, pause and make sure that everyone is ready, especially if it is a large group of mobs. Choose the highest level mob and mark it, as that is the one that you need to go for. Let the group know that you are ready, and then head in for your kill.

Use all your skills and abilities as a tank to kill the most powerful mob there. The others in your group will start picking off the others, or helping you with the one you have chosen. Once you slay that mob, move on to any others that are left standing. Make sure that you help to slay any mobs that are left so they don't hurt your other group members too much.

If an item comes up that is green, blue, or purple, and is one that you either need for a quest or that you can use or wear, it is always polite to ask if you can “need” the item instead of just doing it. More than likely, it won't be a problem, but there are always those few that will gripe about people needing. If you don't win it on a roll, it gives you the chance to go back to the instance with another group and regain the xp that you get from each instance until you gain the item you need to finish your quest.

Being a good tank is more than just knowing how to handle yourself in a fight, it takes a constant sense of where you are, what your strengths are, and how you can use them to become a great tank and to ensure that your group will make it through.

WoW Warlock Minion Guide - How To Tank With Your Minion

For the warlock in the World of Warcraft, your minion can mean the difference between you winning a battle and running from the graveyard.

Each different minion will have it's own set of special spells and abilities that you will need to purchase to make it stronger, but the money spent is well worth it.

You will get your first minion at level two, which is your imp. Until level 10, this will become your best friend and will allow you one more person to help you in your fights and quests.

After you get past the imp, you can send your minion to tank for you. (Your imp is simply another caster to help you in the beginning.) The voidwalker, succubus, felhunter, felguard, and any special minions, such as the infernal, can all be sent to take on a mob while you sit back and cast.

This saves you from damage, as the warlock is a physically weak class since locks wear cloth. You should always get any new spells that you can, especially those that do damage over time, since you can cast these to help your minion while they are tanking for you. Each different minion will have special powers, spells, and abilities that can help you in each different situation.

Learn which minion is best in different situations. For example, in the beginning, your voidwalker will help to draw the mobs and their fire from you with torment. Or, with humanoid mobs, your succubus can use her soothing kiss to distract them and allow you to do great damage with your spells. Your felhunter can be used as a tank, although it can't keep the mobs off of you if you are in the aggro range. But, the felhunter does provide “paranoia” which helps you as well.

To gain your felguard, you will have to use your talent points in demonology. With any other talent spec, you won't get your felguard, and you will be losing a powerful minion in the process. By the time that you get your felguard, you will also be high enough to be eligible for a special minion that does even more damage than the felguard.

These two are the infernal and the doomguard. But, there is a risk to using the infernal and the doomguard, both of these minion can actually break free of your control and turn against you, so you must be extremely careful how and when you use them.

To gain one of these special minions, you will have to complete a special set of quests that will take you all over the World of Warcraft and send you after unique items that will be used to help you conjure the one that you choose.

The higher level you get, the better your minions get. And, you should use each minion until you have a set path that you take each time you fight a mob, such as you send them in, cast spells in a certain order, and win. The more you practice with each minion, the better you will become at using them to tank for you, and having your own personal tank is priceless.

Once you have mastered your minions, you can start to run instances with them. When you are looking for a group to join, you will almost always get picked up quickly because you have your own tank.

Using your minion as a tank in an instance can be a great perk for any group and some will even fight to get you into their midst.

When you are running an instance, you should have the group leader mark the most powerful target for you to send your minion in to fight. This will also mark which mob is the most powerful for you, so you can cast all the DOT (damage over time) spells on it to help bring it down sooner. By using your minion as the tank for your group, you can allow other casters in the group to throw their best at the mob and keep all the damage on your minion.

One thing that you will need to watch for is your minion's health when you are in battle. If you don't keep an eye on their health, your minion can be killed at a crucial time in battle and can cost you a fight if you aren't vigilant. You can use your life tap to give your minion health and allow them to keep fighting for you, and then restore your health when the fight is over.

No matter which minion you are partial to, one thing is certain, a warlock can't survive in the World of Warcraft without them. So you should learn how to tank with them and use them to your advantage throughout your time in the game.

WoW Warlock PVP Guide

This World of Warcraft guide was another one that I found useful for a warlock that wants to master the art of PVP in World of Warcraft. It isn't an end-all guide as you can feel free to add your own "touch" to it to make it better for you. Of course this guide isn't just another World of Warcraft gold guide, powerleveling guide, or even grinding guide. This is the first of probably a lot more World of Warcraft PvP guides that are to come to the site.

World of Warcraft Warlock Build - 30 Affliction / 5 Demonology / 10 Destruction

Rules of thumb1-Always keep Detect Invisiblity buff on. Might not be powerful but its powerful enough it to see cloaked rogues about 10yards away in the front.

2-Always start off a battle with, Curse of Agony and Corruption. If you have talent points like I have distributed, both spells are instants.

3-Pets. I normally keep my Succubus out in contested areas, or sometimes my Voidwalker. Keep the Succubus cloaked all the time, most players unless they have some kind cloak detection, their cloak will help you get the drop.

Seduction, use it only when either Silenced or Stunned, I know the curse damage will kill the seduction effect, but that few seconds can save you up to 4-600 hp. Voidwalker Shield, great to use to cast longer spells or to use drain life or to get fear out.

4-You should have enough health or ways of getting health to make you go toe to toe with same level players(and possibly 1 or 2 lvls higher). Stamina and Intellect are your goals in armor. I still have lvl 43gloves and bracers, only cause I cant find good enough ones to replace them with, +13 Stamina +8 Intellect gloves, +14 stamina +8Intellect bracers. Sure armor would be nice but Ill sacrifice a little armor for health and mana.

5-Soulstones. Always keep one on you. If you die, rez right away and get some distance. Hopefully when you died, the other player will have little health and/or mana. Giving you an edge, cause you'll rez with more health and mana in most cases. Waiting around for them to leave is not a good idea. Since everyone knows you can rez, they just heal up and get you when you do.

6- Healing. Healthstones area a must! Potions are a must! this gives you 2 quick ways to heal without wasting mana. Healthstone first at the first 800 points lost. Save your potion when your at half health. If I have the upper hand in health, I would use Death Coil then tap that for extra mana. Or as a quick finisher.

7- Lifetap. Im really not a big fan of using this in the middle of a PvP battle, so I keep a stack mana potions just incase. Use this if you know your going to win and you need the little extra mana to finish him off. Jduge how the battle is going, mana potion vs health potion use your best judgement

8-Curses that reduce resistance. A no no in PvP. You sacrifice your biggest DoT spell. Curse of Agony...

9-As a Warlock, keep a few resistance potions with you. I normally enter a fight with an all resistance potion already buff'd on me and have either a nature or shadow resistance potion handy. If your going to use use a resistance potion use it now at the beginning of a battle rather than later and lose the opportunity to use a needed health potion.

10. Fear and Howl of Terror. Use wisely, since the 1.4 patch the overall effect in casting multiple times becomes less and less to a point where there immune. So try and make your spell casting count.
----
RoguesThere probably the most dangerous you will face. Fear will always be your greatest weapon. Dont stand around to long. Their DPS is higher than yours so you wont last long. Fear when you need a break or to cast long spells, there all attack so if you keep them away from you you'll do fine.

WarriorsIf you get Charged(stunned) at the beginning of battle, Use Seduction on them right away, you'll recover fast than he will and give you the opportunity to cast your spells to equal out any damage taken. Fear and Suduction will keep you alive. They dont have the greatest DPS but when they hit you'll feel it. Again if you get feared or stunned, use seduction to counter and keep the damage to you minimal.

PaladinsLike all melee attackers, Fear and Sudection will keep you alive. If you can keep them feared when your stunned you'll win 95% of the time. About halfway through the battle cast curse of tongues. This will slow down the casting time to their healing spell giving you that few extra seconds to cast a longer more powerful spell like Soulfire or a few shadow bolts.

ShamansTo me probably one of your hardest fight. If you come across an 'Elemental Shaman' your in for a fight. Earth shock will interupt spell casting, so its important to get out your instant spells quick. Keep moving, if you see a totem back off. Fear then Soulfire to do a huge amount of damage. When the shaman comes off his fear, seduction him and blast him with shadowbolts. Try and stay away from firespells if you see totems.

HuntersIgnore the pet, and get in pretty close. Their DPS isnt as high as the others so youll last a little longer here. Get in close and cast howl of terror. Then start spamming the spells. Get your soulfire out about mid fight to drop his health down to nothing. This in an overall sense an easy fight if you keep him moving and the pet off of you.

DruidsDruids fall pretty easy if you keep your distance, just out of melee range. There health isnt as high as the other melee fighters, but their DPS is high enough if your not carefull youll die quick. Just attack them like a melee attacker and theyll fall. If they go into their humanoid form cast curse of tongues and continue casting bolts and searing pain.

MagesThis will be your toughest battle. Cast your spells and try and keep your health up. If you get counterspelled. Seduction or sacrifice your voidwalker to give you time till the effect wears off. Keep them feared as much as possible. Curse of tongues should be used when your Agony spell is about to wear off. This will help lessen the damage to you. Since most mages are arcane, they'll eat through mana quickly so if you do die rez asap and continue the fight. Most mages after a tough pvp fight need at least 30seconds to restore half of there mana which is more than enough to kill you again. Dont give them that chance. Keep your distance! Arcane Explosion is a killer and they can cast 2-3 before you can get out of range.

Preists Most priests ive come across are shadow priests, and are pushovers to me cause I have a ton of shadow protection/resistance. If you dont. Cast curse of tongues and keep it on him, use your other non curse spells to kill him, most priests have relativley low HP, so use that to your advantage. If he starts to mana drain you, do it back to him! This will keep the mana points equal and will make it come down to who has the most health and who can cause the most DoT, which is you. Just keep your mana up!

WarlocksLike fighting your twin. What ever you do he can do you back. You just have to have more hp and maximize your spell casting. This will be a back and forth battle. I rarely come across antoher warlock who wants to fight, cause he knows the battle is equal, and if your a warlock you should have high resistance to shadow, which is the bulk of most of your best DoT spells. So in good faith, most warlocks i come across we just pass each other. If you do get in a battle, start out the battle and keep your shadow ward spell up at all times. Fire spells will do the most damage in this fight, Curse of tongues is a helper but I would rather use Curse of agony over tongues in this fight.

Mind you, in most battles you should be able to hit Shadow Trance at least 2-3 times so spam out bolts when you see your trance state.

Questing and SoloingIn questing, as always your Voidwalker will be your biggest assest.

Casting order...CorruptionCurse of AgonySiphon LifeImmolateShadowbolt. This will normally cause the monster to aggro to you. Searing pain and continue to cast shadow bolts. About 5% health left drainsoul.(If your low on health or mana, cast a drain mana/life spell in there)

Im most cases if I know no horde is near me, Ill take on 2 at a time. cast your first 3 spells on both creatures and have your VoidWalker grab the aggro from first creature, once the first creature is attacking the VW, have the VW attack the second to grab its aggro. Now pull back and finish off the first one.

I can take on monsters about 2-3 levels above me, but I timing is everything. Cast the first 2, then wait about 15 seconds to cast immolate and your shadow bolts. By 15 seconds they shold have about 70-80% health. giving you a good advantage. If the creature continues to resist and your losing health, sacrifice your voidwalker to give you time to finish the job.

If your fighting creatures about 3-4 levels below you, you can grab 3-4 at a time just make sure to cast siphon life on all of them.

You can use the succubus, but if you do... keep your distance to the edge of your casting range. and continue from there.

PetsThe imp. A useful pet in parties to help give everyone extra health and minor help in attacking. I keep him on passive and have him just follow. I rarely use the imp when soloing. A lot of Warlocks I see have him out, but I think its only cause they need the extra stamina.

Felhunter. again another ok pet in parties. Soloing hes a good alternative for the Succubus in DPS, hes the second best pet for DPS, next to the Succubus. Spell Lock is a great spell when going up against creatures who use magic. In PvP, its an ok spell but only lasts a few seconds and most players will just use spell school.

Voidwalker. (aka VW) The tanks of tanks. Add a scroll of defense and his defense is comparable to plate armor. A beast in taking damage but dont rely on him to deal damage.

Succubus. DPS queen of pets. Lash of Pain is nice when she gets to attack from behind, Ive seen her do damage close to 300 crit (lvl50), with the lash of pain. So she can definitely help in killing. Suduction is a helper if you get overrun by humaniods and if you get surpirsed attack by another player.

Infernal. This is an ok pet to use. Its decent in strength does about 140-180 melee damage and about 50-70 fire radius damage (lvl 50). Keep a good stock of soul shards, cause you'll have to keep inslaving it to keep it. The summon has an hour cooldown so use wisely.

Helpful ProfessionsAlchemy / HerblismFor the variety of potions available there something you can always use. Agility potions to help dodge rate. Shadow firepower potions. Magic resistence. Plus since you dont have to pay for a mount money should never be an issue. Plus the lower-mid level herbs and potions you can make a killing in gold. The higher end potions and herbs are over priced most of the times so if you set your price lower, you can run the market. And take money early.

EngineeringI think ive found a great way to utilize this profession. Sooner or later your going to be in contested zones all the time, Ive found a good use for nets while in those zones. If your pvp hunting, nets are good way to keep most players stuck, giving you the opportunity to start casting spells. Or if you get attacked while grinding/farming, a net cangive you that 10 sec time to get away or heal up to fight. Under used item is the Goblin Mind control cap. Nothing better than to mind control your enemy and have him start attacking his buddy or some monster near by. While out in Un'Goro, me and my mage buddy were questing, and a horde rogue and warrior decide they could take us. So my mage friend mind controls the warroir and sicks him on the Devilsaur in the distance, whoops hes dead now! leaving the rogue to take on the both of us. Theres a few other cool trinkets that you might find useful in certain situations thumb through the list, be creative!

First AidWow, I can say that this is a life saver, to quickly regen health in a hurry. I wouldnt recommend selling bandages at the AH. You can make better money at a vendor. A strategy I use to keep down time to a minimum, is to life tap as much as I can, usually that fills up my mana all the way, then Healing myself using a bandage(2000hp heavy runecloth) and im good to go for another battle or 2. But this skill helps in a group, making you a bit more useful other than DoT spells and grabbing aggro.

CookingAnother good skill to pick up. Some of the better meats give bonuses like +12 to spirit for 20 minutes. Stuff like that helps in the long run.

Most of the other skills/professions if you do pick them up, it should be just for money. I havent been able to find a good use for them.

Note about Drain Tanking: Common knowledge is that Drain Tanking is the most efficient leveling spec. Few realize, however, that it is nearly useless before level 30, due to the weakness of the lower versions of the Drain Life spell.

How to level: Grind and quest at the same time. Either look for multiple quests that involve killing the same mobs, or look for multiple quests in the same areas.
The more quests you can get done before running back to turn in, the faster your leveling will go.

Also, remember to set your hearth to new places frequently. Every time you plan to level in a new place for more than an hour, set your hearth there, as the time saved by teleporting back to the nearest down instead of running is incredible

Summary:
1-9: Do your lowbie quests. Should take 2-3 hours.
10-29: Stack all your DoTs on a mob, send in the VW, stack all your DoTs on a second mob, and then wand the second mob to death. Repeat until low health, and then bandage/Consume Shadows. Each level should take about an hour, moving towards an hour and a half as you get closer to 30. If they are taking longer, figure out what the problem is (mobs too far apart, mobs have too much life, too much downtime) and move to an area that solves it.

30-39: Drain Tank: Load the mob up on DoTs, send in the Succubus, cast Drain Life while the mob beats on you, rinse and repeat.

40-49: Drain Tank, but instead of Life Tapping, use Dark Pact. A good rule of thumb is, DP only if your pet is over 50% mana, because if they run out it will slow your fighting time down. The easiest way to do this is to turn off all autocast abilities on your Succubus, and remember to DPing during the fight (rather than after) as a good time-saver because your DoTs will help keep up the DPS.

50-59: The Drain Tanking gets even better now. By Demonic Sacrificing your pet, you are able to regen even more life per fight, keeping up with increasing monster damage, while still 'Tapping up to full mana whenever you want because of the passive regen.

60: You are now specced SM/DS, which is generally accepted to be best grinding spec. Do whatever killing you need to do, grind factions etc., and then respec to your high-level build of choice.

Equipment Choice: "I found that during early levels it was best to focus on +sta, and at around 35 or so to switch to +shadow or +dmg. If you are specced into affliction and are draintanking, +dmg will be vastly superior to +sta. You kill the mobs much faster for the same mana, and heal yourself that much faster." -Clutchsama

It's my personal opinion that up until about level 40 you should stack +sta and "of the Eagle" gear. At 30, start looking for Shadoweave gear, and around 40 switch into it. Full Shadoweave can be made by tailors, and will give a bonus of +114 shadow damage, along with some Int and Sta, and can be equipped at level 44.

In general, while using Dark Pact I stack as much +damage gear as possible, and while using Demonic Sacrifice, I stack as much +sta gear as possible, while keeping a minimum of +100 dmg.

For the shaman, each battle brings a new set of challenges and rewards. Luckily, your class is so diverse that you can play many different roles: caster, tank, and healer.

Being a tank is pretty easy, you simply have to watch your back and keep your health up, and being a caster is simple as well, and a great way to help friend out in a fight.

But, being an effective healer can sometimes be a challenge until you learn the in's and out's of it.

Before you can become an effective healer for a group, you need to master the totems and elements as well as gain all the healing spells that you possibly can. While the different elements and totems will take you a bit to gain and master, you can gain enough to be fully effective by level 10.

Your healing spells, and resurrection, will also be learned by then as well, so you can begin to run instances with a group and gain the great xp that comes with them. But, don't try to run an instance that is more than five levels above you. While your group members can help to keep you alive, it will take a large toll on your healing abilities and your health as well. So, it is best to run instances that are your level or only a couple higher than you are.

As you continue to level up, you should always get new spells and abilities any time that you can. This will ensure that you always have the most powerful versions and newest abilities and spells for your class when you head into battle. Having the best spells and abilities will only help you when you are trying to find a group for an instance, and will allow you access to more xp as you level.

As you are moving up in the ranks of the World of Warcraft, you should try to use your healing spells as much as you can. Whether it is with a group on a quest, or by yourself, you should try to use them when you can. Place your healing spells on your hot keys so they are easily accessible when you need them, because in a group situation, you'll have to use them often and quickly. You should also place these spells together and not spread them out over the different keys so you have to search for them when you need them.

Now that you are ready to join a group, you should start to keep a constant watch on your group members' health bars. When they begin to get low, heal them. If several are getting low at the same time, you should start with the lowest one and work your way around until you have gotten them all healed and continue around again, making sure that all your group is fully healed.

Make sure that you have plenty of mana drinks or potions, as you will surely need them while in an instance. And, if you have a warlock in your group, ask for a soulstone to help resurrect yourself if you die.

You should also use your totems as much as possible. Healing, mana, and buff totems should always be placed as soon as a battle begins to give the maximum amount of help possible. Make sure that you can also offer and use any buffs that you have that will help you or any of your group members. Different classes can offer different buffs that will help you with agility, strength, stealth, health, armor, and more.

Sometimes there is just no way to keep everyone alive when you are fighting, especially if someone accidentally aggros a high level, elite mob.

When this happens, you should keep yourself at a safe distance if possible or be able to run to get away from the mobs so you can go back and resurrect your group members. If there are a lot of mobs still over your group, you should find out what the others in your group want to do.

When you resurrect them, remember that they will be at half health, so you will need to heal them quickly as well to help keep them alive until you can escape that mob or kill it.

The main thing that you need to remember when you are a group's healer is to keep a constant watch on everyone's health. A good healer will make sure that everyone in their group survives each battle and in turn, that group will help them gain the items that they need for their quests. Once you have earned the reputation as a good healer, it won't be hard to find a group to run with, no matter which instance you want to hit.

World of Warcraft Guide - Using a lvl 60 Mage To Farm Gold in Scarlet Monastery

Here is another guide that I have found very useful. As many of you know it is extremely difficult to find great guides on the internet and this is a great one to add to the site.

Most guides you find out there are pretty good if you want to only make 20-30 gold per hour.
This guide is pretty easy to do as long as you are a Level 60 Mage, and it can net you at least 60-80 gold per hour. Great guide. Check it out below!

Level 60 Frost Talent Spec Mage (enchanting profession is a bonus)
I have 10 Arc/ 0 Fire/ 41 Frost spec, but Ice block and Cold Snap are most important for this little run.

Go to Scarlet Monastery Cathedral. Run all the way to main Boss Chamber. Will be easy to dodge aggro as you are level 60. Kill pats if you can't get around. With a little practice you can get there with only 1-2 fights tops.

Once inside you need to move down right or left side and dodge pats so that you are standing close to Mograine without aggroing him. Now the fun begins. But first...

Make sure you have all you spell cooldowns up so you can use everything at your disposal. Make a Mana Ruby for backup mana. You can use potions but these cost money and counter your profit. Your decision.

Ok, now that you are ready you can start the fight. Put up Ice Barrier and pop Mograine with a frostbolt and he will rush you and aggro the whole cathedral to come kill you. Take hits from Mograine until your barrier is removed. You will see the other mobs rushing you from all directions. When Barrier is gone pop Ice Block. This is the focal point of this run.

Ice Block gives you 10 full seconds for all the mobs to gather around you without damaging you. Now they are all nice and packed for some Area of Effect(AoE) blasting!

Ok, as soon as Ice Block expires you want to pop Frost Nova and Ice Barrier again as you strafe (don't backup, slower movement speed) out of the groups melee range. Now commence to laying on the AoE damage. Remeber that Mograine can't be Frost Nova'd so that is why you put your Ice Barrier back up since he will be beating on you while you are AoE killing his minions.

Once all the minions are dead, Mograine should be less than 50% so finish him off. Immediately pop Evocation to refill mana because Whitemane is on her way.

As long as you didn't end up close to her spawn point when you killed Mograine (practice will show you to finish Mograine towards the middle of the chamber) then you will get off a full Evocation for plenty more mana.

Now kill Whitemane and Mograine again when she resurrects him. You're done!

This little run nets me 6-8g in change not to mention any vendor trash, greens, blues and cloth that drop off all the mobs you just killed. Plus if you are an enchanter you can DE the Boss blues from Scarlet Commander Mograine and HIgh Inquisitor Whitemane sell the shards in AH.

This run take a whopping 10 minutes tops after you run it a few times to get patrol behaviors memorized and I average 12-16g after counting all the change, cloth, random greens and blues, plus shards.

My AoE spell order tends to go like this:

Frost Nova (and strafe away about 8-10 yards)Flamestrike (immediately followed by)Cone of ColdCold SnapFrost Nova (and strafe away about 8-10 yards)Flamestrike (immediately followed by)Cone of ColdBlink (away from mobs obviously)BlizzardArcane Explosion (repeat till all dead except Mograine)Kill Mograine and Whitemane as explained above.

Most of them die in the Blizzard and Arcane Explosion gets the stragglers. And since it will take a little time to get back to the Boss Room again all your cooldowns should be up so you can start fresh!

As far as gear goes, obviously the better your gear the easier this is. Mine is not that great so any 60 mage can pull this off.

I have 5/8 Magister, 3/8 Sorcerer, Orb of the Darkmoon, and 2 Freezing Band. So many folks will have better.

Frost Mage PvP Spec

WoW Mage PvP Guide - Frost Mage PvP Spec

This guide is really a cookie cutter build for all you PvP mages out there that want to own a lot in Arena and Battlegrounds.

With Frost Mage PvP you really want to focus on a 0/5/56 build (0 in Arcane, 5 in Fire, 56 in Frost). Below I will outline what talents will help you out a lot with it as well.

Fire TreeImpact (5 points) - This talent spell will give all your Fire spells a 10% chance to stun the target for 2 seconds. This is extremely valuable tool for PvP due to the fact it helps keep your enemy slowed down enough to do some major damage to them before they can reach you.
Frost TreeImproved Frostbolt (5 points) - This talent will decrease the casting time of your frostbolt spell by a half a second. Who wouldn't want to cast this faster? :)

Elemental Precision (3 points) - This talent reduces mana cost and chance targets resists your Frost and Fire spells by 3%.

Ice Shards (5 points) - Increases the critical strike damage bonus of your Frost spells by 100%.
Frost Bite (3 points) - Gives your Chill effects a 15% to freeze the target for 5 seconds.

Improved Frost Nova (2 points) - Reduces the cooldown of your Frost Nova spell by 4 seconds.
Permafrost (3 points) - This increases the duration of your Chill effects by 3 seconds and reduces the target speed by an additional 10%.

You can start to see the power of this build especially against any melee attacker (Warriors tend to come to mind here). Keep them CC'ed and blast away at them. Can bring you in a pretty quick win against them.

Piercing Ice (3 points) - This increases the damage of all your Frost spells by 6%.

Coldsnap (1 point) - This is an extremely useful instant spell which when used it finishes the cooldown on all your frost spells. The only downside with this is that it has a 10 minute cooldown itself, but then again if it didn't have such a long cooldown Mage PvP would be even more overpowered than it currently is.

Artic Reach (2 points) - Increases the range of your Frostbolt and Blizzard spells and the radius of your Frost Nova and Cone of Cold spells by 20%.

Frost Channeling (3 points) - Reduces the mana cost of your Frost spells by 15% and reduces the threat caused by your Frost spells by 10%.

Shatter (5 points) - Increases the critical strike chance of all your spells against frozen targets by 50%.

Ice Block (1 point) - This spell is the equivalent to the Paladin's bubble and can save you from death by protecting you from all physical attacks for 10 seconds but you can not attack, use spells, or move. You can only use this once every 30 seconds.

Improved Cone of Cold (3 points) - Increases the damage dealt by your Cone of Cold spell by 35%.

Winter's Chill (5 points) - Gives your Frost damage spells a 100% chance to apply the Winter's Chill effect which increases the chance a Frost spell will critically hit the target by 2% for 15 seconds. It can stack up to 5 times.

Ice Barrier (1 point) - Instantly shields you absorbing 454 damage at rank 1 but it is trainable to be able to absorb 1003 damage at rank 5. It lasts for 1 minute and the spells you cast will not be interrupted while the shield is on you.

Artic Winds (5 points) - Increases all Frost damage you cause by 5% and reduces the chance melee and ranged attacks will hit you by 5%.

Empowered Frostbolt (5 points) - Your Frostbolt spell gains an additional 10% of your bonus spell damage effects and an additional 5% chance to critically strike.

Summon Water Elemental (1 point) - This is kinda what makes it so useful with all the slowing abilities as well as the Frost Nova spells. This spell summons a Water Elemental to fight for you for 45 seconds. The Water Elemental is very useful in Arenas since 45 seconds really can be a long time in an arena match.

Keep your opponent slowed down or Frost Nova'd and let your Water Elemental do a lot of the damage while you work towards keeping your opponent CC'ed the whole time. It does take some practice but can be very hard to beat with an experienced player with tons of mage pvp practice behind the wheel.

WoW Hunter Pets Guide - How To Choose The Right Pet

Hunters are like warriors in the World of Warcraft, they are strong, dependable, and have great skills to move up the levels swiftly.

While a hunter and warrior are alike in many different ways, the hunter is also kin to the warlock in the fact that they can have a pet to use as a tank to draw the mob's damage off of them. But, unlike a warlock, the hunter can train and use just about anything for their pet.

This is great in the fact that it will allow you to train all sorts of different animals, reptiles, and monsters to use as pets in different areas of the game.

With each different type of pet you train, you will gain a new ability that you can then pass on to your main pet. Some of the different areas of training that you can use for your pet include: bite rank and claw rank.

Like the warlock, you can keep a couple of pets at a time. To do this, you should find one main pet that you really like to use and when you want to train something else to learn a new skill, you can stable this pet so you have the ability to go out and train another. Most larger cities will have stables where you can “park” your main pet in order to train a new one. (These are usually located in an open space in the center of the city, near the mail box or the flight master.)

But, unlike the warlock, when you are training a new pet and using one for a tank, you will need to feed it. Different pets prefer different foods, such as meat, fruit, and eggs, all of which you can find through vendors in each town. When you are training your pet, you'll need to make sure that you have enough food for the both of you so neither of you suffer. Because the two of you will need food, cooking is a must have for the hunter so you can use the raw meat that you loot from mobs to help feed both you and your pet.

As you level through the game, you'll find that with each different level you hit, you'll gain new spells and abilities. From tracking to marksmanship, each different ability will enhance your skills and allow you to send your pet in to tank, while you use your weapons from afar to kill the mob.

By practicing this skill, you'll be able to gain more xp without gaining too much damage that you will have to heal on yourself. You should start to practice sending in your pet as soon as you gain the ability to train a pet.

To choose the right pet, you should try all sorts of different ones. Some players stick to cats due to their swiftness and strength and their ability to heal fast. Other players prefer boars for the same reasons. And, there are those that prefer reptiles, such as the scorpids, for other reasons. No matter what your personal preference is, you should always train new pets throughout your time in the World of Warcraft to get a full range of the different abilities and skills that come with each different type of pet.

While you are training different animals and reptiles for your pets, keep mental notes about which one's you like better than others and why. (This will help you to choose your main pet later in the game.) If you find a pet that you like along the way, keep it and stable it when you need to train other types of animals for their skills. By doing this, you will ensure that you have the perfect pet for you.

When you start to run instances with a group, you should find the best and most powerful pet for that instance. Cats, boars, and bears are always great choices for instances due to their strength and speed in a fight.

You can choose which you prefer, as cats are great for instances where you need stealth to sneak on mobs, bears are great for brute strength for large mobs, and boars are great for their toughness and speed as well.

As for which is the best pet, there is no sure fire way to tell, which is why there are so many options in the game for hunters. Try training several different pets and just see which one works best for you as you quest and grind your way through the game. No one can tell you the perfect pet for you, you must learn this on your own through trial and error to see which pet is best for your character.

Eve Mining - The Mining Guide of Temptations!

Mining is basically targeted at the maximum earnings in the least amount of time. However, there are temptations that would rather be avoided because of the potential disasters that come along with them. Here are a few tips to mining, based on some very popular temptations!

The Lure of Processed Ore

Processed ore is much more valuable than unprocessed ore. So logic will tempt you to sell the more valuable material. It will ideally net you more money. Theoretically this is spot on, but in a practical sense it isn't. Unless your mining skill is something to brag about, and if you process the ore yourself. Inexperienced miners, with no processing facility of their own, will end up with a lot of garbage, and very little sellable material. Second, processing the ore yourself will squander a resource far more precious to you than any bagful of ISK - your time. The processing is far more feasible for group miners though.

The Planning- Use Bookmarks

After checking for potential pirate threats, pick an asteroid and plan your mining the Ninja style. Appear and disappear in the mining region through Bookmarks. This way the NPC rats, and any potential pirates will have a hard time catching up with you, even if they do find out that you exist!

The idea is to bookmark your asteroid so that the next time you jump back, you should be roughly 15km away from where you want to go. Simply, set your ship camera so it is looking behind you, straight at the jump point. Start moving toward your asteroid. Go past your asteroid and keep going until you are 15km away from it, and 30km from the station, in a straight line of sight. Once you are there, bookmark the spot. You do this to save loads of time during your mining runs, as jumping from the gate will always dump you 15km before your bookmark.

Last, but not least, try to set a bookmark as close to the station as possible in order to save time on the return trip. A distance of about 8km should do. Okay! Do a test-run to make sure it all works as it should, and adjust your bookmarks if necessary. Time to mine!

Time and Money Ratio

The goal should be to maximize the 'time : money' ratio. When the hold is full, high tail back to the station. Do a market search if you really want to, get some idea of the general prices, and generally waste your time. However, it would be advisable to at least look around the first time round so you don't go on selling below market price on the whole.

Later you can fire off a quick sell offer; take any half-way decent offer that comes along. This is a far better option especially if the ore you sell is not really that valuable. The margins that can be made by being a careful seller can better be covered by hauling in more ore from the mine itself!
Don't Pod

Many inexperienced miners make the not-so-smart decision to use their pods to set their bookmarks. The idea is to save their ships for any mishaps. However, in the process they make themselves extremely vulnerable to pirate attacks. Not only are pods a lot slower than ships but their camera angle is not adjustable like the ship's. So you can't exactly bookmarks like you can in the ships, at least not with as much ease.

The general idea is that NPCs don't attack pods. Though it's pretty much accurate, but you can never underestimate the human mind. At some point in time, you'll come across players who will blast you just for the heck of it!

Druid Class Guide

WoW Druid Class Guide

Druids are great characters for players that like to play lots of different classes.
Druids are shape shifters so you could potentially play as a caster so that you can heal and cause damage with your spells or you could become a warrior, a rogue, or some other type of character class.

It is important for you to remember that regardless of what you choose, you need to pay close attention to your talent tree because it makes quite a difference in the effectiveness of your character.

Druids are great characters but a lot of groups shy away from them because the changing characters can make it difficult for the other group members to know how to act. The uncertainty of a druid’s spec can cause some problems, but there are also advantages. Some groups use a druid as primary healers, but more probably use them as secondary healers. Druids also make good DPS attackers. They can also be good primary tanks and offtanks. If you want to join a group, you just have to know how to market yourself so that your positive attributes seem to outweigh your negatives.

You should also mention to the group that druids buffs add thorns as a damage shield. They also add a bonus to all stats, resistances, and armor. If you are certain to approach the group by mentioning these extra buffs, a lot of them will be willing to accept you. After all, you can’t have too many.

Items and Equipment for WoW Druids

Druids are allowed to wear cloth and leather. They can use all of the maces, daggers, fist weapons, and staves. Many druids prefer the staves because they add bonuses to their caster attributes. The bonuses that come with other weapons are typically more appropriate for other forms. If you are in animal form, you can’t use a proc weapon so you shouldn’t even weaste your time and money getting these items.

You should, however, be concerned with your armor. Bear and dire bear form will multiply your armor bonus. You might not have the money to buy a really powerful enchantment, but an even a simple armor patch can be really effective.
Professions for Druids

There are a couple of combinations that work well for druids. Skinning and leatherworking is good for players that are new to the game because they won’t have the money required to purchase equipment. These professions allow you to make your own equipment.

Herbalism and alchemy is also good, especially if creating equipment doesn’t bother you. These professions can make you a lot of money because you will be able to sell herbs and potions. You will also be able to use those potions on yourself.

Druid Talents

The talents that you choose to purchase can really affect the way that a druid character plays. You should try out new ones to see what kind of an effect they have. When you get the right one for your character it can make all the difference.

I decided to bring along a much needed druid guide to powerleveling.

It took a while to find one on the internet that many people have used and feel like it is the best one to post here to help druids out. Anyway, i'll be quiet now and let you get on with checking out the guide.

NOTE: This build is a bit tweaked toward a PvP server as that is the kind of server that I play on, so you might need to tweak it a little bit for PvE. I've also assumed that you'll be soloing right up until 60 (if you start doing high end instances before then you'll probably be forced to re-spec Resto like the rest of us are).

Also bear in mind this sequence may have a few steps which look pointless but in fact those steps are in there to jump to the next useful talent.

Lvl 10 - Nature's Grasp - rank 1/1This is for the sole reason that it's an EXCELLENT backup when you get ganked. Hammer it on and RUN (if you can't heal and sort them out)

Lvl 11 - Lvl 15 - Ferocity - rank 5/5As we're going to be concentrating on levelling as fast as possible we're heading up the Feral Tree as fast as possible. Ferocity is a better choice than Feral Aggression as FE is more for protection, whereas Ferocity helps with attacking.

Lvl 16 - Lvl 20 - Feral Instinct - rank 5/5 OR Thick Hide - rank 5/5This is entirely based on your style of play. If you enjoy sneaking up behind enemies in cat form and then shredding them up go for Feral Instinct. If you prefer to just dive straight in and not bother with stealth go for Thick Hide.

Lvl 21 - Lvl 23 - Sharpened Claws - rank 3/36% Crit chance increase. Nice little boost for your feral fighting.

Lvl 24 - Feral Charge - rank 1/1Great for duels, 1v1 PvP and stopping mobs tagging other ones.

Lvl 25 - Feline Swiftness - rank 1/2Nothing really significant but a little extra speed in cat form.

Lvl 26 - Lvl 28 - Predatory Strikes - rank 3/3Attack Power increased by 150% of your level. Now that's a bit better huh?

Lvl 29 - Lvl 30 - Blood Frenzy - rank 2/2 OR Primal Fury - rank 2/2Decision time again. Do you fight more in Bear or Cat? Blood Frenzy = Cat, Fury = Bear.

Lvl 31 - Faerie Fire (Feral) - rank 1/1Saves you having to cast it in caster form. Also helps us get toward better talents.

Lvl 32 - Lvl 33 - Savage Fury - rank 2/220% increase to damage by many of your feral strikes.

Lvl 34 - Feline Swiftness - rank 2/2Stepping stone.

Lvl 35 - Improved Shred - rank 1/2Less energy used for Shred... Meh...

Lvl 36 - Lvl 40 - Heart of the Wild - rank 5/5Increases your Intellect by 20%. In addition, while in Bear or Dire Bear Form your Stamina is increased by 20% and while in Cat Form your Strength is increased by 20%!!! Now this is what I'm talking about!

World of Warcraft Arathi Basin Battlegrounds Guide

This guide gives a good basic understanding of how to win Arathi Basin. This guide is what I call a map of success to winning at AB. Do you find your group getting defeated extremely easy over and over again? Follow this guide and you can see the odds turning around in your favor. Not only does it explain the different nodes available it also gives good tactics and different advantages that can be used.

The main idea of Arathi Basin (AB for short) is to control the flags for as long as you can.

Each flag you get gives resources to your team and the first to reach 2000 wins. If you get 5 it is possible to win in 6 minutes and this includes the time waiting at the start.

Ok the 5 nodes which you can take are:

Stables: This is always taken by alliance at the start. It is probably sensible to send somebody with a slow mount and not great armour to guard it as they can always call for others to help them. It can be accessed from a bridge on the river side and also from the mine and blacksmith so can be attacked easily if unguarded.

Mine: This is basically on a lower level than the rest of the map. You don’t need to go into the mine but I sue it as a place to shadow meld if I need to defend it. It is easily defended because it only has 2 routes to get to it from either side and can be seen from a long way. This is always contested.

Lumber Mill: This is the same as the mine except that it is above instead of below the map. Because of this it’s the easiest place to defend in game because you can see all around you. I would suggest taking this before the mine as it’s easier to defend and helps the rest of the fight.

Farm: The horde equilivant of the Stables. Same as the stables let a worse equipped guy defend it through out the battle. The GY is fairly far away from the flag so it takes longer to get there than at other places except the blacksmith.

Blacksmith:
This is slap bang in the middle of the map and most people normally rush here. If either team takes it, it means they can follow on to try to take the others in quick succession.

But it’s the hardest to defend. There are 2 bridges connecting it to the rest of the land as it is an island. Also there are another 2 places which can be accessed by swimming from the other side. This is the most important place on the map because it can attack everywhere else easily.

Tactics:
Normal:In PUGS (Pick up Groups) don’t expect to win 4-1 or 5-0. The best bet is to go for 3-2. IF you have a large amount of people with epic mounts id suggest rushing to the Blacksmith and the lumber mill and taking those. Make sure you take farm or stables depends which side you are. Then place 3 people on each flag and have the others all attacking one place so they don’t have much chance to attack back.

Zerg:
This is a tactic which I use in premade groups. We send around 1-2 people to each node except stables/farm and blacksmith. 1 person stays at the stables while the others at mine and lumber mill defend as well. All of the rest of the raid take the blacksmith but do not stop and plough through leaving 1 person there yet again. Then we usually use this force to help take LM or mine if needing help or just go for farm. Then we camp the graveyard of the hall so there is no threat.

Advantages:
IF you are rank 6 or over which most people are at 60 then go to the hall of champions not sure of horde version and buy some pots. These are a lot cheaper because they can only be used in BG but are very effective and help a lot. Also if you can it is wise to purchase a battle standard as 10% health is quite a big improvement if you have around 5000 like I do. Also make you have food and water from a mage so you can quickly get health and mana back before going of to fight again. Also bandages are useful but not entirely useful because you will probably be hit when using them that is why pots are generally better.

This guide will help you create a character that will be totally awesome at battlegrounds. It does take quite a bit of gold to do this but this guide also covers some wow gold making tips.

1) Introduction

Welcome to my twinking guide, Here I will explain everything you will need to know (more in the coming posts) about twinking, including Who/what/when/where/why and HOW! This guide will (eventually) cover important, previously un-adressed information like; Funding, What you will need to accomplish, Where to concentrate your effort(defense, offense, etc.)
Whatever reason you chose to make a twink, you've chose the right reason. Some make twinks to "catch-up" while others do it out of boredom. Here you will learn steps you will need to take in order to meet your own needs.

2) Funding your Twink..

Okay, Lets be down to earth. not everyone has 5,000 gold to spend. You might have anywhere from nothing to 500 gold.

I've found a few posts on the internet about making money. there are many choices here..

A.Scam your way to finacial freedomEither you dis-approve this method or not, bottom line it makes some serious gold. Things like mass mailing "dontations" and even things like 500 gold for a wrapped gray item.

B.Cash into GoldYou might have contemplated laying down the green in exhange for some gold, I've done this and it does work. You do get 1000 gold but the downside is, if you arent used to having that much money, it goes by way too quickly. Instead of buying that one epic, you can do things like buy the mats to make an epic item of your profession or get an alt to 300/300 of a "money making" profession. If you invest it, you will get much more in return.

C.Quest for itWith the XP into Gold with patch 1.10, this method may work. i've noticed i usually come up short handed in UBRS raids. i'll earn 1 gold an hour, and make about 3-4 gold then have to repair my armor for 3 gold 38 silver. You can grind for it, and quest for it. this is a lot of work, but if your up to grinding for 500g to get an enchant for your alt, no one is stopping you.
-BreakdownAll of these methods work, including some not mentioned. mass-resell, and reselling epics, or "farming" those leet purples might work for you. Basically you need something to fund your newly aquired character.

2) What you will need

A. GoldThis was mentioned above, however you will need a hefty flow of gold to buy the enchants, armor, weapons, potions, etc. the price on the server for different enchants varies, so I wont "estimate" the cost.

For Suramar, the price for enchants is usually anywhere from 20g (firey enchant) to 340g (crusader) its cheaper to buy the enchant from the enchanter, and fund the cost with your choice of income. Save your professions for making more gold.

Depending on the class, you're really going to want different enchants than the next person and there are "customizations" for each duty you choose.

EXAMPLE:
A Rogue, specializing in flag-running for mass reputation bonus' will want...Chest: Health +100Back: defense +70Feet: Speed increaseWeapon(s): +15 agilityHands: Agility (or attack rate)Bracers: Agility or StaminaTrinkets: Insignia of the alliance, and the Wool Lufa that cancels bleed effects.
Potions: Health potions, Healthstones from a warlock, Invisibility potion (more stealth), Greater fire/shadow/etc. resist potion because all those twinks are doing fire damage with their firey weapon enchant. Thistle tea.. a lot of thistle tea. This will give you 100 energy, which you can use to lay down the ownage.

) What you will need

-Enchants-Each class is going to want different enchants. Start with what you know! Mage's don't need strength, and warriors can't use intellect. From there break it down to Magic and Melee classes then the Mixed catagory.

Magic: Mage, Warlock, Priest

Mage: Low level intellect enchants are a great place to start. here is a short list of enchants, plug in the numbers of the price on YOUR server to see how much all of this would cost you.

Warlock: Low level Stamina and health enchants are great for that level 19 warlock who just learned Life Tap at level 16, stamina becomes intellect instantly, and you get more Mana per HP if you put talent points into your improoved life tap talent, which gives you 20% more mana from each cast.

Priest: Low level spirit enchants are the most in-expensive enchants, I've found with my playing style having a lot of spirit on a priest or any caster, cuts down massively on eating/drinking time. if you have enough spirit you can actually sit down and regain all of your health in 30 seconds. you can start with low level enchants, and work up to things like Mighty Spirit (+21 spirit on weapon)

4) Armor

Everyone starts somewhere. I know what you're thinking, "That level 19 sword is 250g?" or "Who would pay 600g for that level 38 sheild?" You can get the same results, (equal or lesser) and test the waters to see if twinking is for YOU. below are my suggestions on where to start for the Green quality armor, that best suits the class you've chosen. just type in whats in the quotations, into the auction house search. so if you have a rogue and want "of the tiger" leave the specifications blank, and type "of the tiger" and viola!

Casters

Mage:If you can play a mage to its full potential, you know how not to get hit. if you are of that skill level go with "Of Intellect" items, the boost in mana will help your mana sheild, and each int. point for a mage increases damage! if you cant hang with it, go with "Of the Eagle" the extra stamina as well.

Priest:Though I havn't played priests much I would say "Of the Owl" because if you have a lot of spirit you can re-generate your health and mana while you sit(no food/water) or while you run/travel between fights. Assuming you make a shadow priest, also go with "of intellect" seeing as how you can heal youself, stamina shouldnt be that important to a good priest player.

Warlock:Ah, my personal specialty. Defenitly go with "Of the Eagle" first. its got the intellect you need for mana, and the stamina you need... to turn into more mana. many different opinions here, but "Of Stamina" will benefit you too, as a close second.

Druid:A casting druid will want different things, its up to you. A mix of both worlds I would say go with "Of the Gorilla" for the strength and intellect. a Druid wont have as much mana as say, a gnome mage. so the strength is more of a backup. if you're really playing like a caster, go all out and choose "Of Intellect" or "Of the Eagle"

Paladin:Plus Healing Spells. Period. If you're a casting paladin your job should be to heal the snot out of the flag carrier (if your co-operation is good) "Of the Gorilla" if you arent going to be casting many healing spells, and if YOU want to run the flag defenitly skip the noise and trekk to "Of the Eagle" for the increased mana to protect you, and the increased health to help you along.

Melee:
Warrior:Defensive: A Defensive warrior will want to go with "Of Stamina" first off, because a warrior with 1,000hp is hard for a "normal" BG player to kill by himself. so you'll win by schere HP mass, along with your stun+bandage or potion tactic.

Offensive: An offensive warrior will want "Of Power" and "Of the Bear" mixed. The added attack power will help you finish off those weak "normal" people, and the stamina and strength will only add to it, to make you a smashing behemoth of doom to be reckoned with!

Rogue:A rogue should first decide what his job is. "Are you going to run the flag?" or "Are you going to kill helpless people?"

If you're running the flag: Go with "Of the Monkey" the agility is there for the hopeful proc of a crit, and the stamina is there for the extra-whacks you will be able to take. also enchant your boots with "Increased Running Speed"
If you're killing people: Go with "Of the Tiger" The Strength and Agility will boost your attack, you can also mix in "Of power" wherever you find it.

Hunter:Hunters can either be ranged, or up front flag runners depending on your level (remember 19,29,39,49) so you can assist with aspect of the pack, along with your increased running speed ... onto the armor.

Ranged: Stick with "Of the Falcon"(agi+int) hands down, that is hunter gear. you will be able to stay back and crit with the added agility, and cast Aimed shot and arcane shot (level dependancy) as many times as you need to.

Melee: Melee hunters should go for "Of the Tiger" as well (i know some are duplicate) Agility and Stamina is the way to go for the starting out hunter. hopefully he'll land a crit, and he'll stay alive to crit with the addded HP.
Dedicate time to staying a certain level and your twink will grow!

WoW Arena Guide - Form An Effective Arena Team

The Burning Crusade brought on yet another fun and challenging area for PvP'ers in the World of Warcraft – the Arena. This complete PvP environment allow you and up to 4 other players to band together to defeat a team from the opposite faction. And, for those who are already avid PvP'ers, this is a dream come true. For those who aren't, it's their chance to learn what it takes to become a great PvPer.

Those who are new to the PvP world need to get a bit of practice in under their belt before they head into the arena.

The best way to do this is to PvP in game. So, head out into your realm, flag your character, and have fun with PvP on other players in your realm.

This will help you gain experience fighting and help you learn the right tactics for your specific toon. While you may get creamed your first time or two, you'll swiftly learn what it takes to become good at PvP.

Once you have a bit of experience under your belt, you can start to select your team members. Arena teams are formed in twos, threes, fours, or fives, and while most people assume that 5x5 is the way to go, you need to remember that there will be 5 opposing faction members there as well. There are some classes that are better suited for the arena than others and you need to consider this as well when you are going into a battle.

For example, a priest isn't well suited for the arena since they have a small amount of hit points and the other players will attack them first – knock out the healer, knock out the group. So, for a healer, a shaman is better suited for combat and healing situations to help the entire team out.

Warriors and Paladins are always great choices because they can jump in and tank to help take out some of the other stronger players in the arena. Both of these characters carry a phenomenal amount of damage and hit points, and you should have at least one or two on your 5x5 arena team.

Hunters and Warlocks are two other classes that are great for the arena. Both have pets that can also be used to help attack and kill other players, and the warlock has many great affliction and curse spells that can help to slow and subdue the other side. The hunter will have better hit points than a warlock, but with the buffs and potions that are available to any player, a warlock can bulk up before hand.

Rogues are a great addition, as they have stealth abilities and can easily strike first without being detected. You must be careful though, other warlocks can sense invisibility, and your rogue can be caught in a compromising situation if you aren't careful.

Mages are another casting class that can do a great amount of damage over time to an opposing player. They also have the great ability to freeze and sheep other players, which can help to immobilize them so they cannot attack the group.

When you select your arena team members, you should know if they are skilled at PvP or not. If not, then they don't have the skills needed to be a great PvPer for your arena team. A great way to see how the team will fight together is to group up and flag yourselves. Then, head into an instance or opposing faction area and see how you do. The more practice you have with each other, the better you will become. This way, you will also be able to define which roles everyone plays – caster, tank, healer, and so on.

When you think that you are ready, have all your equipment repaired and have the best possible equipment that you can. You should also have all buffs on and ready before you step into the arena, as you won't have time once the fighting starts. Basically, before you head into the arena with a team, you simply need to make sure that you select smart when you are putting your team together. By selecting smart, you will come out victorious in your arena adventures.

Shadow Labs Guide

The only level 70 instance in Auchindoun is also one of the longest 5-man instances in the Outlands.

Shadow Labyrinth will throw some difficult things at you, but it is one of the most fun and unique instances in the game.

Since SL is tuned for level 70 players, you should have a mage or hunter with you to help with crowd control.

To gain access to SL, only one person in your group will need the key from the Sethekk Halls instance.

In SL, the mobs that lead up to the first boss are really pretty easy and shouldn't cause experienced players any problems. The Refectory, though, is filled to the top with mobs, and the larger pulls will need to be wiped carefully. This is where a Shadow Priest comes in really handy. After this area, the mobs once again get easy. Although you will want to kill them in this order for the easiest time: Cabal Summoners, Spellbinders, and then Executioners.

The bosses in SL range from really easy to hard, and here is a breakdown of the different bosses:

1 Ambassador Hellmaw – he is the easiest boss in SL. The only real ability that you need to worry about is the group wide fear ability. Just have your tank DPS and your healer heal and you'll be fine.

2 Blackheart the Inciter – He is harder than Hellmaw. Two of his three abilities are really standard, such as the Warstomp that does about 2000 damage and a random charge on any random group member. But the third one is where the fight gets good, about every minute or so, he will mind control every member of the group for 15 seconds. You will not have control and you'll all start attacking each other. Most of the time, there will be really poor damage done, and the only thing you need to worry about is your healer running out of mana. The rest of the fight is pretty easy, but his group mind control ability will have you all laughing.

3 Grandmaster Vorpil – This boss only has two real attacks that you will need to watch for. He has a Shadowbolt Volley that will hit all group members for 2000 damage, but is healed easily. He can also teleport everyone in the group to the same spot and then immediately does a Rain of Fire. As long as everyone gets out of the way quickly, it doesn't do much damage. The main problem with him is that he has voidwalkers that will spawn from 4 portals and creep toward him. You will have to wipe them pretty quickly.

4 Murmur – This is a truly unique boss that can't move from his starting location. He has three main abilities and hopefully, you'll only see two of them. First is a debuff called Murmur's Touch. This ticks down to zero and then the player explodes doing 2000-3000 damage to himself and everyone around him, as well as silencing everyone for 5 seconds. This boss also does a sonic boom with a long cast time that will be noted by very huge waves around the boss. When it hits, everyone will have their HP and movement speed reduced to 90%. When you see this one being cast, everyone should run out and then back in when it is over. The third one, is Resonance. This does 2000 damage, but also puts a debuff on that increases the nature damage taken by 2000, so his next cast will do 4000 damage and no one survives the last one. He only uses this one when no one is in melee range, so make sure that someone is at all times.

Overall, SL can be really fun with the different types of mobs and bosses. Just like with any other instance though, make sure that your group knows it's jobs before you head in to avoid any problems.

Karazhan Attunement Guide

Karazhan Attunement (Key) Guide

You have to be level 70 before you can get attuned with Karazhan. There is a specific order that you need to do the instances in to get attuned, and I'll take you through them step-by-step in this guide.
Here is the instances listed in the order that you need to do them:

1 Mana tombs (you need to loot the key in Sethekk Halls)
2 Sethekk Halls (loot the key to Shadowlabs)
3 Shadow Labyrinth (get the 1st key fragment)
4 Steamvaults (get the 2nd key fragment)
5 Botanica (get the 1st key half for arcatraz attunement)
6 Mechanar (get the 2nd key half for the arcatraz attunement)
7 Arcatraz (get the 3rd key fragment)
8 Old Hillsbrad Foothills (get attuned to Black Morass)
9 Black Morass (to combine the 3 key fragments into the Kara Key

Here are the steps that you will need to take for these instances:

1 Fly to either Duskwood (Alliance) or the Swamp of Sorrows (Horde) and then ride to the Deadwind Pass. Here you will find Karazhan. (If you can't find it, Thottbot it for a map that will show you where to go.) Then, you go to the big building and talk to the NPC. He will give you 2 quests to do, accept both of them and go do them. After you get them done, he'll give you a third quest, which is the first part of the chain.

2 Fly to either Southshore (Alliance) or Tarren Mill (Horde) and ride over to where he sends you. (Once again, if you can't find it, Thottbott it.) This NPC will send you to Shatt'rath and the NPC there is in the middle of Shatt'rath. He will then give you the quest for the first key fragment, which is in the Shadow Labryinth.

3 **NOTE: this step can actually be skipped if you know someone with a Shadow Labyrinth key. If not, to get a Shadow Labyrinth key, you have to loot the key from the last boss in Sethekk Halls, but to be able to loot it, you need to have done the Mana Tombs. So, start with the Mana Tombs and then do Sethekk Halls which will get you attunded to Shadow Labyrinth.

4 Go do this instance and get the first key fragment then turn in the quest. Accept the next quest for the second and third part of the key fragments.

5 Go do the Steamvault and get the second key fragment.

6 **NOTE: this step can be skipped if you have a friend with the Arcatraz key, or a rogue with high lockpicking skills. If not, fly to Area 52 in Netherstorm and accept the quest there.

7 Go do that quest for the third key fragment.

8 Run through Old Hillsbrad Foothills in order to get attuned for Black Morass.

9 Combine the 3 key fragments into the Karazhan key after beating the Black Morass event.

You are now Karazhan keyed!

Doing well at the Stranglethorn Vale Fishing Extravaganza is hardly about luck. The same people often win several times, so obviously there are some things that a player can do to increase his or her chances of catching a lot of fish.

These practices should help increase the amount of fish that you can catch. If you get good enough at them, you might even win the SVFE sometimes.
Finding a Good Spot

There is a spot on the STV east coast that you can use to catch a lot of fish quickly, especially if you are the only one in that area. It’s around 41,58. You can spot it because there are two tastyfish spawns within thirty yard of each other. If you get really lucky, you might be able to fish one until it runs out, go to the next one, and then return to the first one when the second runs out.

Fish by Yourself

You will also increase the number of fish that you are able to catch by fishing by yourself. Remember that tastyfish spawns only have four or five drops a piece. If you have caught half of the fish in one spawn and someone else approaches you, then it’s time to move on. You don’t need to waste your time fighting someone else over a fish. Any time that you waste means that you are catching fewer fish. When other people come to the tastyfish spawn that you are using, they are doing both of you a disfavor. Just move on and find a new spot where you can catch all of the fish by yourself.

Get a Good Angle

A lot of people find that they frequently get the “your cast did not land in fishable water” message, especially when they are trying to fish in one of those cramped spots along the shoreline. A lot of people get frustrated and give up, but these are a great source of fish. If you can get good at hitting these spots then you will have an advantage over the other players. Try positioning yourself so that there is as much water in front of you as possible. If you find that you still can’t hit the right spot, then try moving into the water.

Take the Time to Line Up Correctly

Taking the time to line up correctly is often the difference between casting a good line and missing your mark. Try not to be in a rush. Yes, this competition is a race against the clock, but you will be rewarded for catching the most fish not for throwing your line the most. Line yourself up well and you will hit your mark more often, which means that you will be catching more fish. Plus, as you continue to develop good form, you will become quicker at lining yourself up properly.

There is a lot of competition for the SVFE, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t become the top competitor. By following these simple guidelines you should be able to increase the amount of fish that you catch.
